Actually, I agree a little with Zexion, I think the latest couple of arcs were not done well at all+ Show Spoiler +... I think Lisanna coming back could've been done a lot more epic'ly and the resolution to Happy's arc almost felt anti-climactic.
And has anyone noticed that the fanservice has been getting progressively worse? Damn it, I don't want to see Erza like that! She's supposed to be a total badass =T
Also, anyone else have any opinions on the manga vs anime? I'm glad the anime is pretty faithful, but at the same time I actually prefer a lot of the emotional and battle scenes in the manga -- they just seem more epic and more emotional.

The fan service has always been very extensive in FT... ever since Chapter 1.
Remember Lucy talking about her flirts in Chapter 1 and 2? Yep.
Anyways, the mangaka kept changing Lucy's clothing. It's really cute (reminds me of CCS)

Fan of FT. Been reading since chapter 30 got released or so I guess and I enjoyed it.
However I do not like the anime. It's one of the few manga's I think is good and enjoying but not the best.

The soundtrack of the anime is incredibly fitting.

I think each individual Fairy Tail arc is done pretty well, but there's not enough talk between them, like One Piece has. I wish there were more focus on Igneel, which we might get with this coming arc.

+ Show Spoiler +After all the speculation of so much damage needing to be done, they just flop. Also Gildartz vs Natsu shall be epic, poor Natsu... unless there's some sort of crazy ass power for him to ingest I don't see him winning.

Uh, Toriyama's work is incredibly distinctive. You read 3 chapter of Dragonball then go play a game of dragon quest or chrono trigger and you immediately see the art direction is the same. Even the robots and mechanical designs in chrono trigger directly resemble the capsule and red ribbon army technology.
Neither OP nor FT look anything like Toriyama's style, but FT looks incredibly similar to OP as it was when FT started.

Well, Groove Adventure Rave came out about a year and a half after OP.. and the style from GAR to FT is basically the same so, he cloned his old manga but obviously you're going to want to make it look like something everyone loves.

The previous two arcs were pretty much horrible. I had a lot of hope for this series in the beginning too...
There's just way too much fan service and not enough plot development.
Gildartz vs Natsu will be great, hopefully it'll make up for 204 which was nothing short of shitty.

Natsu is pretty much the only reason I read this anyway, I want to see him meet igneel. I'm really looking forward to the fight with Gildartz. gonna be schweeeeeeeeeeet

probably, i'd read the manga over the anime though. i don't know what it is about the anime that throws me. i blew through the 200 chapters in a day or two, couldn't stop reading them.
