Everybody is playing better. Alot of teams can match their crispness now and if other teams are just as good at execution. They won't look as crisp and they would look weaker

It literally happened to every dominating team so far eventually where their peers catchup and they ain't so dominating and godlike anymore when everybody can execute things they used to be the only one who could execute those. To some extent, but Dota is volatile game with many variables, you can't really say just that other teams got better. The game changes a lot, some teams just adapt quicker to it, plus the fact that teams can't always play on the same level during the whole year. Like, certain team suddenly drafting like crap and taking bad engagements and fights, bad item decisions and objective decisions has little to do with enemy team playing better than before, that's just a bad valuation of the situation by first team. Virtus.Pro at the last TI is perfect example of team like that. They dominated the whole year, were the best team until TI, but had a lot of pressure at TI, didn't adapt to the meta quickly enough and looked very shaky in all of their games, no matter what team they were playing against. It's not like suddenly all of the teams at TI knew what to do against VP.

It's not like suddenly all of the teams at TI knew what to do against VP. Pretty sure other teams got better. Like farming efficiency and mid-carry used to be only a thing for rtz then like 1-2 years later every single mid plays mid-carry like him and even made it better (suma1l, miracle, ana, maybe etc). Alliance golden strategy of having efficient farm distribution became a norm that everybody could execute. Those are just few stuff where people adapted eventually and copied into their own way of playing. Like there's no golden years where dota was at its peak. Ok maybe in a sense of entertainment value but competition wise it got better. Like this is simply how human nature works. Look at how NBA(just taking a shot if you did watch) works now everybody knows the most efficient way of playing aka just making the entire team a 3 point shooter. Entertainment value not as fun as it was a decade ago but it is the better way of playing. People imitate and eventually become better than the best before. The average becomes better and harder for everybody until the entire thing dies out. I do get what you mean about alot of variables making it hard to see but it happens. And tbf with VP they have been looking like the team to win for like 3 years or so. Each TI they just crumble under pressure (same with secret)

But yeah I feel like blitz (and cap) really want to see liquid do well more than anyone else casting or on panel. For obvious reasons.

Because these top teams are making A TON of mistakes all of sudden, nothing to do with other teams getting better. Virtus.Pro losing a game to Beast Coast has nothing to do with other teams getting better, because Beast Coast just got 2 new players and are like tier 3 team. They didn't get "better" over the years when the game is changing drastically every few months and they just reformed, Virtus.Pro just played that game like a crap, kept getting out of position with cores, kept taking horrible engagements, and still almost won that because Beast Coast is just bad.
