Storm + Shaker is a pretty powerful combination pick that can do alot(just the two of them alone already gives so much initiation and early-midgame pickoff power) and is alot more independent as they can be drafted into alot of lineups in general.
Yapzor making Shaker look broken helps explain the sudden surge in popularity. Though I'm hoping we get a ppd Treant today.

It is more likely storm being Maybe's hero.
Secret does play greedy usually but it is more of a overall greedy lineup with great hero synergy in mid game. Storm is more of a individual hero kind of greed.

Virtus.Pro has been picking it as well even before this tournament. The hero has few nice buffs in last 2 patches, that's the reason he became popular lately, and buffs were pretty good.
