The "Hail Mary" approach, I think. They wanted to try to snowball by winning lanes so hard before the Morph/Drow took over, which is why the Pudge destroyed everything they might have had a chance to do.
Classically, this was the type of thing Wings would do with the high synergy combos, though they did them by playing heroes differently.

Haha yeah. Sometimes it feels like his brain just goes off and he isn't listening to anyone.
I remember like 2 years ago I think, LGD played VP. Ame was 6 slotted Troll, solo pushing bottom lane and had one ward in opposite(Radiant) jungle. His whole team was somewhere close to the top lane or base, so they were miles away from him. He keeps pushing, in the meantime VP.Solo comes and dewards that single ward that they had. He STILL stays there for like 30 seconds and get ganked by 5 VP heroes and gets killed. It was pretty impressive to me how can you just ignore that, you don't have vision on enemy half of the map and you push between their tier 2 and tier 3 tower alone and you know that part just got dewarded.
