the problem with brood isn't the hero, it's that mid is extremely safe right now, as long as no player is going crazy diving or anything. If you do get to punish a brood, she's utterly useless for a long time, until she finds minutes to farm up uncontested.

In the Abed Tiny vs Matu Brood game Matu just screwed up and died to Abed solo at lvl 3 or 4 if I recall correctly. That played a big role in the Brood being more behind in that matchup than he needed to be. Probably it should go more in the manner we saw here where the Brood can trade farm just fine

LGD was able to draw Liquid in the group stage. I think this series was more indicitive of OpTic’s strength. They made the upperbracket but every team in the lower bracket in group B were had either 7 or 8 wins. Serenity was a TNC Megacreep comeback from joining the tiebreakers.
OpTic vs Fnatic/Serenity will be interesting.
