I feel like we said the same thing. Weaver requiring Aghs is too much farm. Even though they didn't know they would face an Ursa yet they should've put him as a core and picked a less greedy support.

Their draft isn't even that greedy. They often pick a self sufficient core in Ramzes who doesn't need support. They just got raped hard by mid ursa.

yes. Look at their Summit drafts(or the Major Quals). They pick tanky cores that can fight, put pasha on an initiator (or Lil on Slardar) and then Lil on a 3.5 role.
Solo plays a poverty 5 that somehow gets an amazing amount of shit done

problem was tree stifling aggression, getting a shitton of vision and the ursa/wisp lane destroying noone mid. The draft itself if looked at without regard to what EG drafted was a standard VP draft that had every chance of working out

Yeah, a position 4 core support is fine when you have cores that pick so early. It gives then plenty of pushing, but also gives you ability to compete lategame against crazy late game heroes like Morphling.

FWIW I think VP have been relying on the fact that their cores are phenomenally skilled and don't really lose their lanes. (Ramzes/Noone are probably the best cores in CIS right now) The issue is that EG matches them in individual mechanics (look at how OG just got completely destroyed in lanes against VP)

so it just happens that 3rd pick weaver was predictable enough (knowing they'd pick that hero for support ) that eg immediately did a treant and picked shit that won't die to underleveled + underfarmed weaver rotations
but i still maintain my opinion that their draft is garbage and bound to be figured out
