They were never that ahead of top Western teams. Look at Secret's second game against them; look at PPD's. Both teams were already starting to win them in the middle game, but had issues late game. Then OG came in, did the same, and finish it. Newbee might have been way above other Chinese teams but not Western teams.

Doesn't matter. Thy still raped both secret and EG 2-0 ..They are atleast above your so called top western teams secret and EG.

So when was the last time Chinese teams did? Wait, never.

Alliance did though for all of 2013.

Yet they played only nine games in this tournament before they lost, while they played twenty in China and did not.

They played nine games against teams they never played with their current roster and 20 against teams they play fairly regularly.
They also played 2 teams that hasn't found their stride after roster changes, a NA team, and a team taht didn't qualify for Manila.

Everyone knows that the top team is a changing title depending on who is win streaking for that tournament =D

If you start to look at quality of teams then this whole streak can be ignored, since to my knowledge there are almost no games against VG.R in Newbee's streak either.

TI2 LGD&iG, 2014 DK.

West vs East currently shouldn't be even up for debate after Wings bodied top Western team 3-0 in a ESL finals after losing to them 0-2 in groups.
I think their strategy is to dumpster bad Western teams (c) uriel

Natus Vincere for the first.

PPD's team for the second.

No Chinese team has ever had a long win period against top Western teams.

Neither did Western, if you look at dates.

Alliance had 28 wins against Chinese teams, I believe, before their first lost game.

Don't think it should be ignored, but it should be evaluated in the right light. You know, nuance, which most people can't see.

Thanks guys, and damn that's really impressive. Newbee definitely ain't shit.

Props to OG, a team people felt didn't deserve a Manila invite, for being the ones to end that streak.

Everyone deserves an invite in fans eyes, it only depends on how far in the past you go to justify it.

Justifying it with achievement post invites is like winning the lottery with tomorrow's newspaper.

When my so beloved western teams are getting raped left right and center by the only chinese team in a tournament , I try to look for other excuses like comparing win streaks for teams from 2 years ago.

You might think it's just an excuse, but it is an important fact that you need to pay attention to. Indeed, this is the sort of fact that gives me the belief that the West is the best region, on average, even when they lose an international.

My gut feeling tells me that Azarkon is more of a Trump guy than a Sanders fan
Why are my allies so weak and pathetic?
