With Dota really being a Bo3 competition and Online/Offline being rather different, I'm really not in favor of some of the "no Invite" suggestions a few people have. 6-8 Invites is about right as a total amount, I just think, especially for the first Major of the cycle, that it shouldn't be half of the field. The problem is that Valve really never wants to split up the regional qualifiers into 2 for a single region and 1 for another region. It's a bad precedent for them. So Invites and Qualifiers need to be in sets of 4. And I think 4 direct invites is too low, as it's going to drag out qualifiers a lot longer and, again, LAN is different than Online. | ||
