How would you mess with this? IMO summail still looks pretty quality even if he had a rough tournament. He was in a rough situation and he needed others to bail him.
Think you keep your team going if you're EG. Can't see any better pieces on offer.

If you think Sumail did bad because Cap was being REALLY dumb and trying to find a narrative while on the panel, don't believe him. Sumail has done really well when given close to even matches. Game 1 he was straight carrying EG until his lack of scaling came into play. The 2-3 series before this he did really well too.
EG has a habbit of giving him a completely fucked situation because they need a certain type of hero. Game 2 is that example - they gave him a bad lane where he would have been food lategame to ursa anyway, didnt protect the bottle, and didnt give him any support after his bottle was lost. There wasn't really anything for him to do that game.

Yeah even if they were to replace suma1l. Who are they gonna replace ?
Even if they got w33ha or s4 i wouldn't replace the dude for them. Suma1l's far more flexible and better in mid imo (since s4 can't play carry mid and w33ha is bit underwhelming as a mid compared to others honestly. He's just a really good fit to secret why he's performing well)
One player that could possibly be a good snatch is miracle (assuming he gets snatch) but since they he and rtz overlaps on how they play one of them has to move as the official midlaner (which would probably be most likely rtz since he played standard mid before and he's really good at laning). So snatching miracle also doesn't make sense.

EG as a team actually isn't used to having a non-farmed mid lane. SADBOYS -> rtz/zai leave was playing the 1 lane as farm. EG with sumail -> After ti5 was again mostly giving farm to mid. From after TI5 until now they've been putting him on more and more "role" carries without regards for his farm in most costs.
Usually this can work fine if they get him an even mid matchup, but there's games like game 2 where they just screw him on the draft and lanes.
edit: and then there's the EG vs Secret pugna game where they threw him mid.. as pugna.. and he gets 4 members of Secret ganking him before minute 5 which is just unavoidable on his behalf. Like PPD maybe isn't used to how to draft for a non-farm mid with zero support.

I don't think anyone on EG needs kicking. ppd made some drafting errors and paid for it, and Liquid was playing phenomenally. Maybe change up their gameplans and strategies but a kick won't solve that.

Just stop giving dumspter lane to suma1l if he doesn't have a comeback hero. So don't go enigma if you have a zeus lane which easily can be screwed over.

Game 1 seems like it's sven vs 3 carries & EG just didn't do enough. Liquid are doing such a good job of preventing a good black hole in the fights.
