Yup, TI4 VG is definitely back. Including that part where they can't seem to handle Newbee for some unknowable reason...

In their defense, newbee has been playing well during those last weeks.

I'm not a big azubu fan either, it's rather unstable for me but I think the quality is slightly better today than it usually is. But as I write this it starts stuttering a lot. Oh well, some competition for twitch can only be good in the long run. Twitch was shit for years in Europe.

Twitch sucked for a long time in EU but they've gotten a ton better haven't they? I certainly don't hear the constant bitching about it anymore.

Twitch really does need some competition. Unfortunately every other streaming service that has ever come out has been a gigantic joke so they end up with no competition at all. I fear like at this point the only way to get some legitimate competition for Twitch is for Google to just say "fuck it" and go all in at any cost and dump like a billion dollars into youtube streaming. Someone needs to throw STUPIDDDDDDD money at the situation to make a dent.

But to me it does not appear like Twitch are abusing their monopoly to a degree where viewers suffer, so I dont think theres room for competition until they start forcing us off adblockers or the like

Aaand this is why I hedge my feelings by being negative towards the team I'm rooting for. When I say something bad, they pull the game back even.

According to sgamers.
newbee 1-1 with every opponent they met.
And they alway lose game 1.

The ti4 reason would be newbee being a much better team

that was not fun to watch as an EG fangay. I hope PPD figures out how to pick, counter, or ban invoker before they go up against Newbee in an hour. That's not to discount Miracle's invoker; he played it extremely well. Moon was also a good player. N0tail seemed very lackluster.

We should be mindful this is OG's first official matches on 6.86, but so far Crit looks horrible. And N0tail is trying to feed his team to failure. Moon's played okay. Fly plays a good Oracle, but it only counters a few things. But the main problem he has is that he has to pick it in the first phase. Miracle carried them, hard, both games. If he's forced off the Invoker, he might have a lot of trouble.

I just EG keeps their heads cool. They should have won both of these games, and there has to still be a bit of annoyance with Frankfurt, as they should have won those as well. (Something Moon even outright admitted.) This is a group stage where #1 is great, but #2-3 is more than fine. It's just too bad that EG vs VG isn't for a while.

S4 and Buldog said that crit was the mvp of the 2nd game.

He got 2 stun/silence combos on more than 1 hero twice, from what I saw. But he whiffed a lot and got almost nothing done via roaming. OG got murdered in the laning phase in both games. If Invoker + Nyx + Oracle don't shut down Universe for a while, they don't get a prayer to get to the late game. So while I respect the guys, I'm really not sure what they were seeing.

Granted, N0tail was feed-central for a long while.

An optimist would say they always win one game :D

They haven't been abusing their power, but they also haven't been innovating at all. Not abusing power is cool, but stagnation isn't.

A significantly better alternative would be jumped to almost instantly, but now that Twitch is part of Amazon, it is unlikely someone would throw enough money at it. Google, these days, eats up companies for Tech/Patents, but generally can't do anything useful with copy-cat ideas. Google+, anyone?

It is not without reason, even if they bounce back. It is a general problem that PPD is the "You learn a book from defeats"-incarnate, rather than knowing beforehand.

PPD is a great analyst, but not very innovative, and it is not uncommon it is the skill of the team that has to carry it to victory by 2-1 wins.

Same here. During that game I was thinking that I didnt see a such low impact ES for weeks... Definetly not ban material against OG if Cr1t played it to its max potential.

Yeah this, they don't abuse anything they don't mess anything up. They are just very slow at bringing out updated twitch player etc. They afaik (reddit was source for this) had 1 person coding the HTML5 player which they are going to replace flash player twitch with, which afaik is still not happened yet. What they do with their staff i do not know but atm it still hybrid flash and html player which is poor considering they should have jumped to that change ages ago.

Did u know what OG where going to play like in this patch? I surely didn't and im sure no one else did unless scrim results were leaked. This is there first showing on this patch lol.

Not disregarding what you are saying in general, clearly PPD learns how to counter after a defeat or learns more. However you can't use that vs OG when they were probably drafting against them based on the previous patch.

N0tail dying is rarely a problem, because it is mostly due to them not helping him, as they are focused on objectives more than anything. Most often when they lose, they win something, which allows them to regain control. So if he dies, it is mostly 3-4 or 5 heroes spent to kill him, while the opponents lose more farm/objectives in the process.

I'm pretty sure the HTML5 player has been literal years in the making. VODs are still a dumpster fire. Something like a DVR system would be cool, I think 2GD suggested that years ago but nothing has happened. The frontpage is a joke, the website sucks for discovery, viewbotting is actually rewarded, they apply ToS rules completely arbitrarily.

I really do like Twitch I just wish they had a fire under their ass and were looking to keep pushing the envelope innovation wise.

It just hit me that the female caster in the VG vs NB game Australian.

I've been trying to work out what her accent is, cause it's so different from what I'm used to hearing on the internet. It's embarrassing how long it took for me to work it out.
