I skipped the drafting phase for game 3 but looking at EG's heroes was so relieving. They easily have the most depth in the hero pool for the competitive scene and they're too good. Looking for a good finals tomorrow.

It was originally Bo5, changed to Bo3 at the last minute.

Yeah not sure what Sylar could've done. His supports couldn't even babysit him since thay had to think about trying to shut down the TA mid, since Zeus wasn't going to do shit. Total outdraft

I don't like that they wasted so much time on group stage BO1s that now they only have time for a single elimination playoff bracket. To as much of an extent as possible, results should be dictated by BO3s

No they weren't. Go watch the game again. Their two farmers were doing well but the rest of the team was way behind and they were behind in all early game team fights and worth.

terrorblade seemed like forced pick by Rotk at last minute...yea, he is a great pusher, but EG'hit in your face lineup worked exactly against TB to shut him down...IDK but i would have liked naga in that LGD draft if they were looking to open the map for whole game..and sylar can play naga, not upto rtz,EE or BurNing level ,but he can.

anyway, they were the only chinese team alongside wings(eliminated in groups) in the hordes of many western teams and they did pretty well..facing EG in the semifinals felt like the real final to me..

They were even on farm until they caught rtz and EG fed multiple death and buybacks.

They were never behind early tho.

Now that is' break time, can we talk about how insane Faceless Void is. He took almost 800 dmg and time walked back to near full health. This hero is almost unkillable if played well.

I wish they'd change the timewalk. His timewalk seems alot better than weavers ult.

Well it's Weaver's ult on a 6 second cooldown, with better control over your position, though the potential max range is shorter compared to what you can do with Weaver. And here I was thinking how nice it was that they removed Backtrack...

no way
icefrog is in the crusade for making game more death delaying
Riki new ult, delay death
Syllabear new skill, somewhat delay death
new item, faerie fire, delay death
so carry-on the death delaying meta

tbh that was like the perfect timewalk you can achieve (barely not die from burst and get out)
normally I don't see it that effective and it is still rather used for innitiation purposes.

This probably explains why there hasn't been super heavy team fighting in this patch compared to 6.85.

Even on overall stats but with more on two snowballers in the early game = ahead. Sumail was most likely in for a hard game even if the feed sequence didn't happen. Universe was absolutely in for a hard game, too, and EG generally doesn't do great if those two aren't making things happen.

But yeah, mostly I meant that after that first big fight it took a really long time for them to close the game out despite the massive advantage that it led too.

Agreed. They seem to be the only team with a wide variety of styles aside from vici. Alliance goes their 2013 style, liquid opens with razor Ebola tusk, secret opens with ember oracle....
