Their free spirits do well to bring the entertainment when you have weird mixteams fighting in RO64. Yes, I was a bit disappointed how they lost focus during some of the high-skill matches, but they had decent periods where they did a good job at serious regular casting. Overall, it's nice to have some happy people covering the matches, with good chemistry and banter. I was looking forward to hearing Sheever cast, but it seems that her cold has kept her from getting involved too much. the problem is that gd studio cant go back and do a normal cast when they have decent teams playing. their tri casts always result in the game being ignored every single time. its gotten a bit better with od pixel there (why he is at gd studio and not at a proper casting studio, no one knows) but the games are still the worst part about them, which is unacceptable. that they cant get their sound to work reliably just adds insult to injury. i just hope they split shane and draskyl up and never let them cast together at the qualifiers, because those two couldnt focus on a game of dota if their life depends on it and i am still not sure if draskyl actually enjoys watching dota, because he is still clueless about what teams are playing.

Yes, I think you're right that with those people together, it's more likely to turn a bit silly. If anything, I think it started with IreLAN, where Shane, ODPixel and Sheever had to keep things going for a long time where nothing was going on, and had a lot of success with goofy casting and hosting. In the end, it's just a group of friends having fun together, which I'm guessing was also part of the motivation for going to IreLAN. So, they leave home for 3-4 months to do a variety of hosting/casting jobs together, living in apartments in Sweden. They've hardly had a break with a bit of time for themselves, so no wonder things turn out a bit strange ![]() I have no doubt that they can step up and do a serious cast if they feel it's needed. As far as I have seen, they've also been doing a good job with DreamLeague. They've more or less said themselves on stream that they're not trying to be too professional or serious about the open qualifiers coverage. So, they're just providing us with some decent content and coverage, while still having fun despite a busy schedule. A lot of people seem to enjoy it. While I do prefer serious casting in games, I'm glad that someone is able to provide something different without it being a shitcast, rather something which retains an amount of charm and usefulness.
