A few USA chants are fine but please don't do it too much. Stop the stupid USA arguments, thanks. On another note, CDEC flairs are now live. Sorry about the delay on that.

Oh well. Game 3 was neat. Oh common, you get not one, but TWO of the best wombo combo moments in the last three TIs and that's not interesting? Shit there must have been so much pressure for CDEC to go for that Roshan attempt... add to that that Fear, one of the oldest NA players out there who has been with the scene for a long time gets first, along with two players who used to be on C9 during the perennial 2nd place phase, winning? Who actually expected EG to win? Secret winning would have been the least interesting of available outcomes, to go by what was widely expected.... Maybe at the outset of the tournament. As soon as Secret was knocked down by Ehome it suddenly had the potential to be an interesting story. But really, almost anyone else that made it to the top 6 would have been interesting, save maybe LGD. Anyway, the game was just too one-sided and it prevented a 5th game, so after game 3, it was kind of a fizzle. First team to win back-to-back and multiple Majors isn't a big story? Major? I guess you mean DAC? Since the majors are coming to DotA and DAC will likely be a major, we can call it retrospectively a major.

This is why no winner's advantage is a joke! Because a team that plays that poorly should still have an equal chance of winning as the team that beat them? Yes because cdec is the only team not given a 2nd life. The sole reason why there is no winner's advantage is due to having a hyped finals but it comes at the expense of integrity and fairness. This is not how double eliminations tourneys are run. All the tournaments like evo/sc2 etc run double elimination tourneys properly and fairly. EG already played today, so there's your winner's advantage. This. It is what it is, please lets not debate the validity of CDEC not having a "second life", like in every tournament ever. That's really arguable advantage since you can say EG have the momentum, while CDEC have a fresh match. The concept of momentum is something so silly in sports... As it has virtually no resemblance to the literal meaning of the word. EG had 2 hours to think about plans for CDEC, already a bit tired, probably prepared 99% for LGD. Yeah, I dunno, I don't really buy the winning the previous match gives you an advantage for the next match. At worst, EG and CDEC come on an even playing field, and I think that's fine. I don't think you've ever seriously competed in sport if you think momentum isn't a thing. When you're on a roll, you feel incredible, and when you feel confident, you do everything better. Maybe not for absolutely everyone, IDK, but certainly for the vast majority. Not to say that it's necessarily an advantage to be coming from the LB here, but the idea of momentum in sports (and so eSports) is utterly legitimate. The better you can handle your emotions, the less it will impact you. I think that at this level, the morale boost you get from winning your previous game is minuscule compared to the exhaustion from last game. I think that people overestimate it, because they imagine how they'd perform in that situation, when they handle it a lot worse than the pros. I've been on badminton teams and swimming teams, as well as weightlifting, and when I fail a lift, I can go do the same weight unphased even if I failed it previously. Obviously just talking out of my butt, and some research in this would be interesting. Naa mental exhaustion from playing isnt a thing at this level with this much at stake. Emotions, experience and momentum are way bigger ingredients in my personal experience. Ofcourse going to over board can suck to but the swag and confidence gives you the kind of freedom like nothing else. Its the best feeling.
