The way I see it, they are 3/5ths EU players but the players that most define their style are NA players, including their drafter EE, and their world-class support Aui who is, like Envy, one of the most theorycraft intensive players in the scene.
So the argument could be made either way.

They belong to which ever region gives them a better chance of getting another second place. Which means NA vs Eu teams and EU vs NA teams, because they need their server edge at all times.

Why is only C9 picking LC? Do other teams not see the value

It's true that some events place them as an NA team, but it's hardly convenient for c9 considering they play at a ping disadvantage in every qualifier they enter. Obviously that's just the way it is as long as they live so scattered across two continents, but it really shouldn't be talked about as if it brings some advantages.

The real problem is that no matter what AUI and Bone get shit ping to the other regions servers. Bone and AUI get like 300-400ping on USE and EUW respectively due to where they're playing from

It's advantageous in that their only real competition in na quals is EG and maybe SNA whereas in EU quals almost every team is decent.

Cloud 9's purple blue coming out. Beware SNA.

I think bone7 previously got decent ping to USE, but after TI he moved to a new apartment or something and it was said during the Game24 event that his connection to USE was terrible and he lagged pretty hard. I don't know if it was possible for him to fix it or not.
