Alliance vs Cloud 9 game 3 is being played on LAN. As such only the Chinese broadcasters at the event can stream the games. BTS and Starladder has chosen to stop streaming as they could not get the Chinese stream to work smoothly. Chinese stream: http://www.liquiddota.com/stream/9704 |

why are casters arguing to admins about audience needs? how frustrating it must be for both alliance and c9. wca, get your shit together. Well, a Bo3 just turned into a Bo1. Viewers are pretty important. It's still bullshit to complain about it as a caster, but it's sorta comparable to having a faulty product. yeah, i mean the casters should know that if they restart a bo3, who knows if another disconnect will happen, and it can keep going on and on. at some point, sacrifice is needed. the 2 teams that are playing must be mentally exhausted with what's going on currently. Kinda feel bad for c9 having to play for so extremely long. Three series in a row is not something anyone would enjoy.

they would have if the match was played on an internet connection and it was lagged out?

it got dark so they said "cya tomorrow", came back the next day and played like 10 more games i believe, then Isner finally won 54-56 in the 5th set iirc...

"they're pros" this excuse is so over used. there is a point where the playing conditions is not acceptable and just because "they're pros" doesnt mean they have to accept whatever shit conditions the organizers give them.

This is why nobody likes Chinese LANs...

I also dont think its for the teams to decide to shorten a bo3 to a bo1 in a 325.ooo tournament.
|
i really hope this doesnt just go to a bo1 from the rumors on stream, that'd be such a sad ending to what was beyond epic. pls redo bo3 NO MERCY EESAMA

lmao what a tournament, lagged out game, hey its a draw, lets just skip games 1 and 2 and go straight to game 3 lol

sorry, but it goes both ways.
the tournament organizers should provide the "pros" an environment where teams can play with no worries about constant disconnects.
honestly, i can't even blame teams complaining. WCA tournament has been pretty bad tbh.

just say "fuck it admins we're playing tomorrow a new bo3 fix this shit" and leave

re: "they're pros" this actually gets into an area where esports has no regulation and real sports usually does - how long can someone compete before it's considered unhealthy? If they restarted bo3 fresh and we get another 4 hours series, c9 would be at 14ish? hours played.
It does become an issue. Keep in mind concentrating in pro games is actually a drain and not at all like playing pubs all day.

Ever saw tennis champions complaining because they have to play like 6 hour and more games?. If games require you to play, you play. If you have complaints you do those AFTER tourney is over and hope things are better next time, or you don't play next time as a statement of sorts
