I think Lamn start drafting after the loss to Titan but I am not too sure about that.

I'm pretty sure you're right. Lanm has a 100% winrate so far.

He did, his first draft was vs Navi'US. They're 6-0 since he took over, from 6-5 to 10-5 and now 2-0 vs C9.

I've read in the interview on some article on that said the team decided to change drafters because Burning had problems drafting and carrying out the draft/strategies afterwards due to the immense pressure of carrying and running the in game team decisions.

http://www.gosugamers.net/dota2/features/3932-day-4-event-blog-short-interview-with-71

(here is the link from GGnet. I don't know if there is any issue of posting articles from other sites, abit new here so please forgive me)

I think this is really why most (ingame) captain or drafters are mostly supports because their role is more of to survey the state of the game with wards, checking items progressions etc. Last hitting and maintaining creep equilibrium is something that needs total concentration.

Thanks, I hadn't seen that yet. Burning was obviously underperforming in the first half of the groupstages, hopefully we can continue to see the true B-God now the drafting pressure is off his shoulders. Until I read this, I still suspected that they were planning to switch to Lanm at some point all along, but apparently not.

the site still says winner of C/F and not C or F specifically yet afaik

I figured it said that because the first place seed gets to pick which opponent (winner of C or F) they want. I can't find anything to confirm that, though.

oh they get to choose? i guess VG probably won't want to choose DK since they are best buds or something

Im a bit torn atm who i'd actually prefer DK to face off against. If this was pre TI4 i'd say Vici any day of the week. But Vici has proven themselves strong and actually found a style which they are comfortable in. DK lost to EG at The Summit, but won took the bo1 here at Seattle. And EG has also shown that they are still very strong here at TI4. I can't even decide.

but since VG is more stylistic they might be easier to counter e.g. like liquid was smashed by LGD

You could be right, however I thought that when DK was facing off Vici at day 3 they were aware of Vici's very aggressive style, because they deployed it against NewBee with great success. But DK somehow ignored it and played right into Vicis hands and lost the game at 15-20 minutes aswell...

But that was Burning drafting, yeah? XP

(Sorry, Burning. I love ya, man, but your drafting needs some improvement.)

didn't burning draft today too?

LaNm drafted today

I feel really sad for Liquid that they came so close to getting to KeyArena, but the few weeks/months just couldn't cut it. They were shaky from the getgo, and truly getting this far is a huge achievement. Look at [A]lliance, Empire was strong ALL year online, etc etc. They outperformed more than a lot of people expected, the competition is just rock solid this year.

No problem. I too had the same theory that they would swap to LanM during phase 3/main event. I was quite surprised that this was not the case. Which makes me curious if this might be some of the disagreement that iceiceice was talking about in the team.

From the outside, I think alot of people would agree that LanM's drafts really suit DK's style and if they had agreed on that than maybe they would have done much better especially such a dominant run during SL9 (which meant winning instead of second places, damn we put such high expectations on DK). Maybe they did tried it out but lost alot during scrims with IG/NB etc. which made them hesitant. The rumored boycott of DK by chinese teams probably doesn't help as well.

All in all we can only speculate but I'm really happy with DK right now. It feels like they've found their groove, playing well and enjoying their Dota. This is what I think most DK fans wanted to see, DK being DK.

Really poor showing from Liquid today

Looked like 4 pubstars and qojqva trying to compete against a team with a real strategy.

Cloud 9 was a good bet at these odds. They had a 35% chance to win at least.

Past results, factoring in that there are a lot of dk fanboys, circumstances, etc.
