I think the ideal scenario is something like this.

Navi lost to LGD 2-0 in the most one sided game in TI2.

They face DK who led by Burning and Super who have regained their form as the Galacticos and dismantled IG. Navi proceeded to win 2-1 and face LGD again in the grandfinal who by now are 20-0.

LGD leadd 2-0, 1 game away from immortality. And Navi crawls back 2-2.

For the ultimate game, the one million dollar tournament, LGD let Pudge slips through the bans. The world awaits.

And then LGD first picked Pudge. But then Dendi Rubick and the game became Pudge Wars. Everyone wins.

This isn't MLG with extended series The finals is 0-0 even if they met before and even if they are from the lower bracket.

EDIT: The story sound awesome though

I can't imagine how tired LGD or Navi are gonna be if they fall into the losers bracket then come back up to the grand final. Such an insane amount of games in a row.

I have this fear that if Na'vi do happen to get eliminated before the finals, tons of people won't even care to watch the finals. So I really just want to urge everyone to appreciate good games and big plays no matter which team they are coming from, because Dota is awesome no matter who's playing it.

Gabe Newell stops the last game after 2 hours of epic back and forth Dota, gives both teams $1M. Launches Half Life 3 right after that.

If LGD picks Pudge, that would be amazing, it would get them a ton of respect, I think. Don't really think they're gonna go for it, tho.

Edit: Also, undying. One of the teams has to pick undying.

I really like Na'Vi but this year i would like to see a chinese team winning (thats the most probably result), maybe a DK vs NA'VI or LGD vs NA'Vi for the final its my choice. Yesterday i fricking enjoyed those mindgames about Naga Siren against iG from Na'Vi and i want that tp happen again but this time with another team against Na'Vi, they strategy was so good that they were capable of doing a game where Naga wasnt banned or picked. Besides that im here hoping for a Necrolyte pick (wish i really doubt it)

Seeing Navi in the final would be cool but in the end I just want to see good dota and LGD has provided that since day 1.

i really think the chinese teams are a bit flustered by na'vi's reputation for unconventional, ingenious strats. they want to do the same in return or something. just play your game.

Isn't that the magic of dota LANs? They see each other, they watch interviews, they see them smiling over drafts and get completely mindfucked. CIS teams excel at this and puppey knows his shit really well

So does LGD have to lose 2 best of 5s to be eliminated assuming they beat Navi?

Would seem strange to be rewarded for not losing a game in the tournament by saying your the only team who doesnt get double elimination.

Nope. Grand Finals is just one Bo5.

Yeah and during breaks and when watching matches of others, Dendi said he came to them, offered them food, tried to chit-chat with them, gave them popcorn. Then they see XBOCT drinking his night away being high as shit singing Gangnam style.
The players lounge and the Valve office as well as the Hotel is a really cool thing. It's one big psychological warfare.

Deep down, the Chinese might be perplexed. Why are they drinking so near the tournament? Aren't they scared of hungover and not being able to play properly? Why are they not in hotel rooms analyzing replays? Why are they so calm? Have they given up? Are they here just to have fun? or have they some secret strategies which make them very confident?

But to be fair, in most of the drinking games pictures that I saw, Chuan were there. So maybe we are overrating what Navi mindgames because they are covered more. But Dendi did say he came to the Chinese teams and give them food and drinks and the Chinese were a bit perplexed because of his friendliness.
