They just paused, and then I heard QoP scream and blink, haha. Yes, the audio is lagging on the english streams. The russian streams are fine and spectating ingame is fine. They're working on resolving the issues with the english stream. Ok, thanks. I just tuned in.
EDIT: It actually sounds fixed now.

Coming from SC2, this is my first time ever watching a DOTA2 game. I just have to say, the amount of info you have is great. I don't quite know what the fuck's going on, but being to see the farm/denies and what not is at least something I can grasp. Reminds me of the unit production tab in relation to how damned important it is to knowing exactly what's going on.

Twitch stream is fixed completely.

It's the same reason Priestess of the Moon had a name change, and Furion, etc. Windrunner wasn't an original blizzard character like Thrall. They use the names they can, other's they change it. Actually he is called nature's prophet but you can use furion in cheat enabled games to add him so it's actually still in the game It's pretty stupid, though.
Do they need to pay royalties to E&G for using Lina?

I think Valve started by having a brainstorming session of 'everything that esports needs' and just made sure to get it all. its not even like they thought of all of it, or even half of it. so much of dota2 is what the community wanted, like theres a highly upvoted reddit post on something that would be a cool addition, less than a week later its added in ! They will add it if they feel it helps the game. Just because some feature is upvoted on reddit doesn't mean they'll add it. That's how Valve always worked. If the community thinks it helps and Valve feels it actually is a good idea, they'll add it. Funnily that's also how Icefrog works.
you can't allow every dumb idea into the game just because people on reddit want it. You gotta think, how can this feature fail, is it feasible, what is the cost of adding the feature, etc.

Is anyone else impressed by Orange's play throughout the event? (groupstages included) didn't expect them to do THAT well after seeing their perfomances in online competitions

I haven't been paying attention to the info tab this game yet, to see if they've been switching between them, but there's actually quite a ton of info tabs that the spectator can switch between, which is awesome. Stuff like last hits/denies, kills/deaths, gold per minute, total gold earned, etc. Like I said though, not sure if they are swapping between them or not, haven't been looking.

Laguna blade is only the romanization, so I don't think they can get into trouble for it.
