And honestly based on the 3 games I've watched of theirs, we can throw away everything we think about how they play.
I'm not saying they'll necessarily be better in the long run. But they play completely different.

ESL has already outsourced this tournament so it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm sick of hearing tobi in almost every tournament.

What I'm not fine with is still not having a proper ESL production. And that they out-source to jD who don't make the slightest effort beyond what they've always done. They themselves have multiple tournaments running at the same time as the EMS and day 1 is essentially pointless, no one can follow it properly or build any kind of story because all the streams are jumping from one tournament to another. Yes, this is a cup that leads to a group stage, that leads to a LAN. But still, this tournament should seem like a bigger deal than all other 2 days cups, and it just doesn't because it doesn't look like or is advertised as anything different.

When you spend all the money on your later LANs the quaification production suffers, I guess. Pretty common issue with IEM/ESL events.

Good production isn't all about spending a lot of money. There are so many cheap things you could do to improve the experience.

It's not in Germany. Would they put it somewhere that's never had a Dota Event? That would seem pretty risky. If I had to guess I'd say cyberarena (which would be extremely lame) or somewhere in Sweden. This is unless they plan to do like IEM and host it at an expo, but that seems unlikely as it's incredibly expensive and RaidCall doesn't earn a whole lot from it in comparison to Intel for IEM.

Money != quality when it comes to production. For example, during the Swedish E-Sports Championships, I think that the Super Street Fighter IV:AE casters have a really really really good chemistry between them booth, and that makes the production more better for me as a watcher who isn't into the SF scene.

I'm not going to be watching with sound so if someone can keep an ear out for if Kawa mentions it as he said he would today.
