Somewhat surprised at the low-ish viewer count. If Tobi can get 30-40k on a weekday, casting some inconsequential group stage of a random tourney, why doesn't this one have more viewers?
I think one problem is using the esltv_dota twitch channel, a channel they have never used before.
While this does not affect any of the "core" fans, who regularly use community websites, but there are I think a number of users that just have a bookmark for tobi's channel and check if something is on when they want to watch some dota.
It's a similar phenomen like youtube, where a lot of users don't use any of the websites functions, but simply have bookmarks for channels they like.

Worst lag in the whole tournament (for me at least) when it's Grand Finals time. Sigh

Well it was at 91k in the afternoon, don't forget there are like 7 streams

720p and still lagging? What the heck. Bad viewing experience atm.

That is a stupid comparison and it really doesn't work like this. Makes absolute no sense to bookmark a channel and than check if it is streaming anything

Gotta say, i like how Zerogravity is involved with the team throughout the tournament. IMO it's always positive if the team manager is involved.

LoL is on, RIP in peace twitch.

For the past month or so, it is very much luck if you get a lag-free stream on twitch in europe for the weekend evenings.
Usually reloading the stream until you get a good connection helps, but at times it can be a real pain in the ass...

They never used the channel (only to determinate the groups or whatever) and yet, with only 2 days they have 1,947,425 channel views (which I supposed are unique). Not bad and yesterday, between Na'Vi vs Fnatic they have 80,000 to 90,000 concurrent.
Either way, they shouldn't "ask" for concurrent viewers. Their last IEM, the SC2 finals had less viewers than a D2L Na'Vi vs Empire online game. If they want that big of a numbers, put DotA2 in IEM and fly one team from China or SEA. Then you will have more than Starladder (who got 120,000).

They weren't asking for the concurrent numbers, someone asked what kind of viewers they were hoping for and they said as a response they were hoping for 6 figures or something like that.

That bear pull is pretty neat.

Any clear answer on BO3 or BO5? Also wtf bear.

that bot lane
i don't know anymore

Now that i think about the pull again, getting the towers down with that push is going to be hard to stop.
Great creep pull into towers by Na'vi though,

WHAT HAPPENED? I literally look away for 3 mins and I see 10 creeps at the fucking FOUNTAIN.

Would be quite bad for ESL when they can't get more than Starladder, even though they have a navi final
