Not bad, especially given it was directly up against Na'Vi vs EG cast by Tobi

Tobi is streaming a navi game. Adds an extra 20k viewers.

I liked the cast/studio, GD a bit lacking and goes into that downwards inflection voice a lot where you can't hear him but I liked the whole thing.

Technical in-game problems aside, I really enjoyed the cast. That we not only could hear "the main casters", but also Bruno and Wagamama during the game made it so much more enjoyable.

Yeah, that was refreshing. Usually we only have one or two casters casting the matches over and over again, so this was surprisingly entertaining.

GD is slowly becoming my favorite studio, despite being just bunch of guys in the same house producing it.

I liked having 4 people, but if Waga isn't there (Which he won't be most of the time) I probably won't. In-between Draskyl's non-existent scene knowledge. 2GD's 'fine for someone who recently joined the scene' knowledge. And Bruno's 'these stats use to be for fun but now we're going to actually pretend that they are somehow relevant when none of them are' knowledge. Can't have more bricks.

I like The GD Studio, but it'll take some convincing until the actual tournament becomes something I need to follow over others. Because the whole 'we just showed up and are doing an eSports show' attitude is fine for The GD Show. But watching a competitive game I need to be hyped, not amused. And the whole show just felt like it was droning on in a somewhat lighthearted manner but apart from Bruno there was little emotion there.

I disagree. I do not need hype or people pretending they know what the players are doing like Tobi & his fellow cocasters.

Hah, you mean unlike James and Draskyl? Newsflash, Tobi knows more about the game than 2GD. And the vast majority of his co-casters know more than Draskyl. And either way I'm not comparing them to jD, I'm comparing them to a well rounded cast, like BTS.

Dota commentary needs excitement, that doesn't mean you need Tobi screaming about nothing. And if you'd argue that you'd rather have insight, I'm sorry but that commentary team isn't all that insightful either compared to BTS.

Well 2GD said he isn't commentating so it will be different regardless. Although Weppas+Draskyl doesn't work at all either. What they should do is just have Draskyl play-by-play and Bruno color-commentary like he does for LD.

~

Anyway. Will be interesting to see if QPAD can take a game off Empire. I think they probably could as Empire isn't looking their strongest and the teams have scrimed a lot against eachother. But impossible/pointless to predict since we really have no clue how QPAD will play.

Trying to say SingSing is more experienced than Vigoss because SingSing has more matches in Dota 2 by like 25% -.-

I thought the point was to big up players, and not just the ones who live in your house. Vigoss is one of the three biggest names in dota history and he's being talked about as if he's some random CIS guy who played some Dota 1.

Okay, sound off and I'll stop bitching about this commentary.

Nobody denies he is a living legend. But since Dota2 was released he really hasn't been impressing a lot, nor achieving much. And harshly speaking is just a shadow of his former self. Or to be more precies: Ever since he "retired" he hasn't been performing, which was quite some time ago.
