They picked roaming gankers and wanted to get an early game advantage. The spectre isn't supposed to go past 30 minutes. It was a bad strategy against a tanky line-up and they also executed poorly. But I don't know how many times I need to tell people that Spectre isn't played to go 50 minutes.

The point is they went a ganking line-up against one of the tankiest line-ups you could possibly get.Sure, but the Spectre definitely didn't help them... Even a Sven at least has a stun, or a Void with Chrono. You know... a hero that does something, not a spectre. i think this has been the first time their spectre trilane has been contested (and a chinese team would still probably call that a failure from dignitas) To a degree, but even in this game Spectre got enough farm that if the rest of the line-up was working he would be able to haunt in and get kills to push him over the edge at 20-25 minutes.

Buying a Radiance in that situation? I thought NTH Like to play this type of game off pressure and kills early, ugh.

I don't think switching Sven for Spectre would make a bigger diference than say, picking a mid hero with good damage and moving Nyx to support or something. If you wanna blame someone, blame the captain.

This isn't Loda saying something and s4 giving in. This was the plan from the first 3 picks, it was a bad plan against the Dignitas line-up.When I see games like this, I legitimately have to wonder how the other four members of The Alliance don't just want to walk into a corner and cry. Oh, I'm not talking about the picks or the general strategy of the game, I'm talking specifically about the fact Loda went for a Radiance at the end there. Yes, they were completely fucked at that point anyway, yes their plan wasn't a very high-success one against Dignitas's lineup, and yes, the standard NTH approach with Spectre relies on earlier pressure/kills and Loda not playing for fifty minutes; but ugh, there was something about that that just burned.
