My point was that when it comes to postponing, or dealing with waiting for stand-ins. You can't really tell them no or anything because the teams before caused a 3 hours delay.
GDstudio has been having a bunch of problems. While at the same time saying everyone else runs their tournaments like shit. So yes, they deserve the criticism. Anyone who watched Dota last summer when all tournaments were bo3 knows you can't run 2 bo3 and 1 bo5 in one day and not expect problems.

So G2 is about to start. dignitas with stand-ins.

Yeah and if they did take harsh decisions people would be shitting on them because they're not fair or w/e, like someone said before me there's no way for them to win

What was the situation with lateness? I wasn't here for the first series. Admiral lost his internet in game 1 vs Fnatic. Nth had to search for a standin and save the game from minute 12 or something. He ended up coming back and playing it but it was like 1h of delay on that. And now this..

While I do agree most of the issues today were out of their control today, I think they look really dumb, to be honest. At the begigning of the tournament, they were all "rules are rules, we have to stick to them" when it came down to reschedules, defflosses and such. They were even tweeting about how awful the Dota 2 pro scene is and how everyone needs to get more professional. Then they changed their decision to give the defloss to Fnatic a couple days after the match, and now it changed to "The timelimit for a delay has passed, and they want to use more standins than we allow? As long as Liquid is fine with it, whatever...."

Well they originally planned to have it on separate days but TPL screwed them over, so they had no choice but to do it like that.

If you place rules in the first place, no reasonable person will hate on you for enforcing those rules. The teams agree to these rules in the first place. It makes it so decisions are far and few between.
The situations in question are very common in DotA games. Long pauses, constant disconnects and stand-ins should be among things that require very little admin deliberation.
In short, they can win fairly easily.

It was 2 days, not even connected, that was the only option.

Anyway, they've walked themselves into these issues. Shit happens in Dota, which is why the scene is how it is, times are flexible, playoffs are spread out. This is what happens in online play, you deal with it, or you run a shit tournament.

I guess sticking to your own rules counts as screwing other organizers over?
