there is a reason for that, it is a stupid format that should have no place. it's a fucking tournament, you lose your out. if you want to run a format with maximal fairness and the chance for people to lose, then play a fucking league or extended group stage.
in a knockout-phase losing has no place, double elimination has no place and until esports does not learn this it will never grow into the mainstream. at least sc2 is now after 2 years pretty much free of double elimination, with exception of the last MLG that was most definitely worse than MLG dallas which run single elim...
There's much less teams / players in Dota tournaments than let's say football world cup or a Tennis championship
If there's no double elimination there would be a lot less games

^That's beautiful.
Maybe add the lanes, like QoP vs DK mid and such.
|
well navi should win all three lanes. a good draft finally.
|
Well this will definitely be an interesting first blood
|
LGD losing all lanes pretty bad. They don't have the lineup to catch up against NaVi's lineup as well. Unless NaVi manages to screw up royally in the mid game they have an easy win.

impressive. how is 6pm not good for eu viewers, most people finish their jobs/shcool by then This stream started some hours ago, most of North America is working and some of EU still is as well. A few hours later would be way better. That is what he was trying to say.

I do not get LGD's laning this game.
QoP owns DK mid, BH is in comfortable position against NP.

- Bounty trying to annoy Furion Bottom - Gyro/Visage/Sand King Tri vs Luna/Rubick/Nyx Top - DK v QoP Mid as expected. - Dendi and Hvost starting off strong on CS, Dendi with an early DD pick up - Funnik on the bounty taking a lot of damage but with 7 denys, Furion with only 7 cs himself. - Sylar on the Luna starting to come back in terms of cs with 21 @5mins, Hvost with 31
