You know, a month ago you were all tears that luna was so overpowered won every game QQQQQQQQQQQ etc. No changes, and now she's seen every so often. 6.80 is an INCREDIBLY GOOD patch. It still isn't properly figured out and the amount of heroes that are being picked across a wide variety of teams is HUGE. People whining about "this meta" or "this patch" are people who just like whining. Watch EG if you want legit picks lol. I'm not whining, I've never liked the patch at all. I thought 6.78 was decent to watch as a spectator if you gave teams enough time to try different heroes out.
The problem with this patch is how much teams like to push. At first you get more fighting and excitement, but then the meta switched to farming mids like naga with an escape, shit's even worse to watch than splitpushing prophet in its heyday.
obviously there are great things that changed such as the death of trilanes and nerfs to jungling, but I'm speaking about patches more in conjunction with hero lineups and playstyles rather than changes in mechanics, which I'm actually fine with.

Fine.. its a push strat.. But still not gonna work in the long run... And thats my point. TI is months away... Player switches now are vital as you can see in EG with RTZ and the rest... If you make a wrong switch now you wont have any time to change later. And you guys think DeMon support will do it for us? K Time will tell I spose...

So basically what you are saying is that you like to watch split-push more than direct push. Nothing more.

Trilanes died? I see them almost every game. All that changed is that dual lanes are situationally viable, but very rarely so.

I don't even know what to say. You are simultaneously complaining that teams like to push, that teams like to farm, that teams like to rat... Like, is playing dota a problem? Maybe we should remove towers and just have constant 5-man fights at rosh for 20 minutes?

naga defines splitpush far better than furion

To be honest, in this case it is just yolo pushing. It could easily translate into ratting, if Liquid would not end up just walking over C9's base in the end. you keep whining about this shit like u are even close to right. Remember luna? She didn't get patched. You just mis-evaluated her in the draft and teams figured out how to play. Lycan has MORE glaring weaknesses than luna, not less. Name those weaknesses, for god's sake. I am glad, that luna is less picked, and am glad i was wrong (though seeing luna every 2nd game was boring). The relevant weakness of lycan is over-reliability on ultimate in teamfights and crap laning (well, he is melee). Giving ton of damage to your mid at times (that will probably result into winning it), insane pushing potential and midgame dps are kind of more relevant (funnily enough, the line-ups pros usually had luna in were indeed using midgame presence from luna together with pushing(usually fully provided by chen, teeheehee) and "free" damage from luna, guess what, lycan suddenly gets noticed and luna's pick rate drops ). EDIT: Leoric ban, what a game. Wut, Spectre, again, but then again, what do i know (inb4 lane games).

Rat Dota would be avoiding fights and dragging the game out, wearing down the opponent with splitpush
I am pretty sure that game was more like get core items (Vlads, Meka etc) and push down all the things as 5.
Lycan and Furion might be rat doto heroes, that game was not a really good example of it.
