VG is fine this game because 3 of C9's heroes just need a beefy hero to create pressure/disrupt Alliance's positioning. There's no onus on Spectre to be exceptionally fed.

I really meant it Vanguard won them the game, there was an early fight in which Spectre tanked a lot of stuff and still got kills. IMO it's way superior than the "standard" Drums.

They had a better draft. [A] needed to take over the game off taking outers and using their ganking heroes (SK, Nyx, Mirana) to control C9's development. C9's midgame tempo rested on the ability of the Bat to counter that pressure, and [A] fed 2 fights to the Bat's Blink timing before all 3 outers were down. From that point, it was more or less just waiting for C9 to develop their cores because [A] no longer had the necessary control over the game to end the game when they needed to.

They're not the same. Vanguard is better when you have more backline damage dealers in those early fights because all you need to do is use your ult to create space for those damage dealers to do damage. AA is pretty much the poster child for this because Chilling Touch and Ice Blast are big backline damage-dealing spells in those fights.

Drums in turn is for lineups where you have more heroes that are there to make space for YOU to do damage, and you get more opportunities to be the last one there to clean up and chase down stragglers.

Basically Vanguard is favored by the kind of games people are playing with Spectre (picking her later in a draft as a strong frontline hero to back up firstpick backline damage-dealing supports like AA, Rhasta, Rubick).

Yeah I see it

Also c9 are fine. They have the most op hero in the current version with sing/aui/bone playing heroes they have done really well with lately

P[A]'s been a pocket strat of theirs for a long time. They especially like to run her with Wisp.

But PA's a hero that doesn't give you anything except some mediocre chasing ability

Why would you ever pick this hero especially against a pushing lineup

they pick her with pocket strats around wisp or mag, I don't know if I've ever seen them pick her naked like this.

No wisp(or s4 mag, which was really why alliance's PA did so well) and no real stuns make it really hard for them to initiate

I see much ratting in this game
