Yes, there is a built in mechanic where people who afk for a few minutes automatically take an abandon and make the game safe to leave. I believe it is based on whether or not you have received any XP in the last few minutes. That said, there are obvious ways to bypass that mechanic. When I notice people doing it I just end up reporting them for ability misuse or something and specify the reason in the notes.

Whenever I creep-block on solo mid and my opponent doesn't, the enemy's wave gets in range of my T1 tower and destroys much of my lane control.

How do I know when to abstain from creep-blocking mid?

You can see a pretty good distance while you're blocking. If you see the creeps over the hill and you're still a ways back, stop blocking. Alternatively, don't block so aggressively in a pub. Just go with a slight block until you get close to your tower and then judge how hard you need to block for the final few seconds.

Also, even if you block into tower, you can still generally get an advantage, because you hit level 2 off the first creep wave and have a double wave of creeps so you can really pressure the enemy laner from lasthitting under tower.

TLDR: I want to know if it is ok to go battlefury every game or will a time come where a bkb will come first? I prefer to be pro-active in building my items because being reactive defeats the purpose of being mortred. Also curious if this can work in in house games with all the right support heroes.

I personally think going hard lategame carry with Bfury first is using Mortreds against her own skillset. She excels at ganking and kinda lacks teamfight ability. Especially compared to a hardcarry like faceless void, who really excels in teamfighting.

Vlads/Orb of Venom/Maelstrom gives much smoother transitions(especially laning power with basilius) and the majority of the items can be bought from the sideshop.
2 gripes I have with Battlefury are that the 150% mana regen is wasted on her and that a random crit can reduce the whole creep wave into low hp region so they get killed by your creepwave, ruining your lasthits.

Competitive teamfights are far from clustered enough so you can cleave a crit to a second enemy, leave alone cleave the whole team. Exceptions are of course Magnus, Dark Seer Enigma and the like which have spells that cluster people up.
If you are drafting that kind of lineup, than Sven is the superior choice as carry.


So in short, PA has very bad laning which can be helped a bit by a basilius and a stout shield and is actually a way better ganker than similar looking heroes since she has very short cooldowns and low mana costs on her spells.
Building her towards things that other carries do much better defeats the purpose of picking her, so build her towards her strength.

also there's no reason to pick pa over better carries like antimage

kunkka can hit pretty much whatever he wants, he does full damage to everything except the main target, but you can just hit the main target a couple of times if you need to

Why did Morphling drop from top tier? What nerfs hit him so hard to the rate where he falls off completely and never gets picked anymore?

That can't be it, can it? I mean yeah, a 6 basedamage nerf is noticeable, but it's nowhere near how Invoker's basedamage got nerfed really hard. Is it really that 6 extra basedamage that makes all the difference on this hero?

Invoker's base damage only got nerfed by 4.

But in addition to Morphling's base damage nerf, his cast times were also increased, his morph mana cost was increased by 50%, and you are no longer able to cast spells/items/attack while in waveform.

the waveform nerfs combined with cast animation nerfs made him almost unplayable
after his cast animation got fixed nobody wanted to play him anyway, and the waveform attack/casting thing is really annoying
he's still decent but not better than luna/gyro/pl/w.e so there's not really any reason to pick him

The base damage really hurts though. He now has less level 1 damage than even sniper. And only half the range. You're almost required to take level 1 morph and morph agility to last hit in lane (though that makes you more squishy so :/)

Before he was being run mid remember, because he could win it easily, now I'm not sure who he beats mid (if anyone).

And then if you run him in a tri he has no lane presence, which in this era of tri vs tri you pretty much need.

The thing is with Icefrog is he'll always try to find a way to sort of, "swerve around the balancing of certain heroes." What I mean is that, even though a basedamage buff might be what he needs, Icefrog will probably do something crazy like change his Waveform into something else or whatnot. But in any case, along with the basedamage buff (since I personally don't think that it's enough) what else should be buffed, Morph or Waveform?

Her mana needs can be fully covered by a Basilius. Her spells cost 15 mana and 50 mana. A medaillon of courage provides over kill mana regeneration.

Agree though that other carries are better at things you expect from a carry.

the splash does the initial hit plus some bonus. so the more the initial hit does the more you cleave for.

so hit a ranged creep if possible

if u deal 1000 damage and u hit something with 500 armor u deal 1000 damage to everything except ur main target
