Ever since my first game of cm, I've been having trouble playing the other modes. I expect a courier and wards. If there are no wards on the map, I play like crap. It affects me psychologically to the point where I can't even get last hits. If there's no courier, I don't even know what to do, especially if I'm mid. Aside from playing support or buying your own set of wards and losing exp by placing them, how do you guys deal with the lack of organization in all pick and other modes? It gets better as you start playing with better people. Usually you have to just man up and buy the courier / wards yourself, or play a support. Unless I'm trying to practice a certain hero or role I'll usually just wait until my team picks and then try to fill a niche that's missing, which is, more often than not, the support role. It can be incredibly frustrating though, especially when players who play support roles suddenly forgot how to type when you ask why there are no wards or the courier hasn't been upgraded. Also as a general rule, being friendly makes people more inclined to listen to you and play a team oriented game. "Jakiro can you please ward the runes" will get you farther than "rofl Jakiro...plays support doesn't ward fkin noob go uninstall"

And is there a faster way to farm up to sacred relic? Second, once I have radiance I don't quite know how to farm with it. Do I just push out lanes? What happens when the lanes are all out too far? Spec is a tricky one. Just like you noticed, there is little she can do to speed up farm in general. You have almost no means of taking creeps down fast (well, you can dagger for creeps you will not be able to get in time because you are too far, but the mana cost is outrageous). The only way you could speed up farm would be to go for a Midas (but that is debatable, as you are delaying your Radiance a whole lot). One key thing about Spectre: she is unstoppable given comparable farm. Dagger gives you a nice escape mechanism when used right, Dispersion is a major pain once you get both health and a reason to make the enemy team to target you and Haunt gives you the chance to farm while still assisting every major engagement if going in would net you kills/assists. General ideas about the hero: you need to have good support in lane since you have no way of flash-farming (killing a lot of creeps fast; think Cleave, nukes you can afford to spam with minimal investment, things like that). A bad start will heavily delay your core items (no matter what you want to do), so focus on getting them last hits in. You can speed up farm to some extent with ganks from your other lanes, they will grant you a much needed burst in gold thanks to the kills/assists you will get. Also, you can farm till the last minute before an engagement you want to take part on, since Haunt gives you the opportunity to jump into the fray quickly, preferably after the first round of spells has been thrown (since you are squishy before you get some good health items and levels under your belt). Haunt can also be used as a sort of disengaging mechanism if the other team has a hero away from the fight. There are 2 common ways to play her: the pure hard carry route and the ganker-that-scales-into-late way. (1) First off, the pure carry route involves getting a Radiance asap and using it to speed up farm considerably. Generally by the time you get it you will have decent health if you skip Desolate completely and get stats instead. Split push, use Dagger and Tp's to escape from ganks while keeping your eye up for possible engagements where you can snipe some low hero off with Haunt -> Dagger -> a few whacks. Getting a Vitality Booster or finishing Treads is acceptable if against a nuke-heavy lineup. With complete free-farm it is possible to get Radiance + Treads around 14-15 mins in (with no towers down), but that requires near perfect last hits. In a more realistic environment, 20-25 mins is acceptable, because if you get pressured a lot then your other 4 teammates can get towers down, so lesser farm is compensated to some extent. Once Radiance is up, Heart should be the next big item to allow you to stand up to just about anyone in fights (unless they have a massive farm lead). Here lies the problem with Spec: you pretty much need 10k worth of items to start carrying, without having a way to speed up farm/be a major teamfight presence till Radiance is done. (2) The second way of playing this annoying little hero is to go for a more gank oriented build. Here, you delay Dispersion for points in Dagger and Desolate, using the bonus damage to pick off lone heroes (warding supports, farming carries if you got some backup). The damage is applied if no units friendly to the target are within a 325 radius and with the huge movespeed gap from Dagger almost any attempts to run away are not that good (but they can still TP out, you have no interrupt). Item-wise: Phase boots, Diffusal, Yasha, even Drums (easy to build items that give you a lot of bang for your buck) are what you should go for next. Again, a casual Vitality booster is good against nukes. Towards the late game you want a Heart since you have a huge mitigation tool in Dispersion.

My brother was playing spectre all day and he decided going for radiance is so hard unless you had a very easy lane and a couple of kills in the midgame. He simply went for a stat build, diffusal blade, SnY, manta and heart. Getting to 3800 with constant aggression is just not the way to go.

I gave up solo queuing carries a long time ago, except for lone druid. Everything else requires a good ally to make sure you get farm. I remember a cast when someone said that when you're behind in farm, that's when you skip items. When you're ahead, you can complete items. Tranquil boots is probably worth it so you can last hit more aggressively. If you have radiance pushing lanes is fine, since it should take multiple people to kill you. Pushing lanes also gives you time to clear all the neutrals before they respawn while they defend the pushed lane. I'll keep pushing lanes instead of neutralling, even though that provides less gold, if the enemy starts ganking or pushing other lanes to punish them and help the team by forcing someone to defend (and of course you can ult into fights). Also, what real (pro) carries do, they don't just push to farm, they push to create space for the rest of their team to farm by forcing the enemy to try to defend.

now my question: - how did he pull 2 waves? i guess he pulled mid/bot but is it possible only with haste rune on bot at 0 min? - ofc he can then kill them savely on the t2 tower or inbetween, and gets better last hits. but is it really worth it? i mean one wave he would have gotten on bot lane nevertheless and the mid wave he "stole" from his mid hero? - and he puts his lane much closer to the enemy tower without the waves and getting it closer to the save zone will last a bit? so i'm just wondering if its possible only with rune and if its worth it ![]()

If you have a free-farm lane (tri-lane vs suicide solo) you should skip boots/vit and go straight radiance. You should be able to get your relic by 14-16 mins with decently good last-hitting. Once you have radiance, you don't need to fight with your team, and you can also solo push quite aggressively. If you're pushing your lane to rax and your team fights elsewhere, you can ult and do 150 damage to each enemy hero just from radiance burn. If the other team comes to gank you, you can ult and port to any hero that didn't come to gank you, or dagger into the forest and tp out. General way to build spectre is to go damage/health/damage/health/damage/health with items. Remember the other team has to make a choice when they fight a spectre-based team: do they want to 1. Kill spectre and eat 18% of her hp in dispersed magic damage or 2. let spectre do damage and kill the rest of the team? If you go too heavy damage, the other team will just kill you. If you go too heavy defensive, they'll let you hit stuff because you're basically useless outside of your damage.

go tranquil boots + vit booster + stout shield (optional magic stick) > radi > heart > manta > diffusal most of the time or you can go for a more midgame oriented build but i think it's a lot weaker

You can take advantage of timings and control the game at points where you couldn't with a Radi build, but you basically have to snowball hard enough off the advantage to either get Radi anyway or end the game, because Spectre sucks at farming without farming items which is bad when the game stalls out.
