is it intentional that the slow from veno gale remains on naix when he uses rage? doesn't seem like it should.

Intended.

In DotA 1, both Veno Gale and ult were treaded as physical-typed debuffs. While being magic immune prevents the spell from taking effect on you at all, the fact that the debuff is physical-typed means that it doesn't get removed.

It is intentional. Veno's passive will also slow you while you're magic immune though neither will do damage.

Magic Immunity doesn't make you immune to poison in the wc3 engine. Mountain King gets slowed by dryads for instance because it is the slow poison debuff. This debuff is physical as you pointed out which means magic immunity does nothing. Not sure if DotA had a special case for this. You do get slowed in dota2 just tested (although you don't take damage from it which seems weird). Anybody know why?

Veno W is a passive slow. I was under the impression that the poison still did damage though. Didn't actually ask the question I was getting at. Edited my previous post ^_^

How did the orb mechanic transfer from dota 1 to dota 2? For example, I know that antimage couldn't make use of the mana burn from dblade because the orbs didn't stack, but is this true in dota 2?

Well it *shouldn't*. Your specific example at least, as diffu blade and mana burn are essentially the same skill the effects should never stack.

It's a difficult thing to answer, as IceFrog was reportedly quite unhappy with the engine limitations of WC3 that prohibited orb stacking.
Now it shouldn't work because of parity between Dota 1 and Dota 2 and will probably stay that way until parity between games is discontinued.

Ye, you can only use one orb effect at a time, with a few exceptions (ie Maelstrom won't block other orbs when it doesn't proc).

By and large orbs still don't stack, though there are a few new interactions (orbs that don't proc on every attack can apply other orbs on the non-proccing attacks). The biggest difference is that rules about which orbs override which orbs has been cleaned up--but you still by and large shouldn't be attempting to stack multiple orbs.

How does slark essence shift work? Does it refresh the duration every hit? What if you hit several enemies? Do you refresh on both at every hit or do you suddenly have two split stacks?

I am playing solo offlane versus tri-lane with escape hero type of Bounty Hunter, Weaver, Qop, etc..

My question is, what is the best way to play versus that? Should I just wait back very very defensively and level without last hitting, and try to get one or two last hits here and there and avoid to die? Is that enough for me or should I do more? I mean they are 3 on that lane, they can't level fast than me anyways..

If they are pulling is it critically mandatory for me to go invisible and put ward there? I mean this question is stupid, since I should do that so enemy creep can come to my tower..

Any advices how to play solo offlane vs trilane and not be criticaly behind in levels and get some gold anyways?

Hi, sometimes when buying an item in the side shop it goes into my inventory other times it goes into my stash. This behaviour seems completely arbitrary and is really annoying. Has anyone else experienced this and can they offer some recommendations? (NB I obviously have space in my inventory for the item)

Yes, ward the pull spot. Don't die, don't die, don't die. Stay in the exp range and make sure to always have your escape mechanism ready. Lasthits are not worth it if they mean a potential death. Don't die, leech exp, go gank other lanes once you get some levels.

Side shop only has some items, so if you're buying something that's not there, it will be bought in the fountain shop instead and put in your stash. See http://www.dota2wiki.com/wiki/Side_Lane_Shop for the list of available items.
Another reason could be you standing barely outside of the shopping range, causing the game to treat you just like if you were buying stuff elsewhere on the map outside of any shop.

It will go into the stash if it isn't a sideshop item or you are out of shop range, so basically you either aren't buying at the sideshop or you can't buy it there

Good way to check if you're actually within shopping range is that the 'Shop' button in the bottom right of your UI lights up when you're within range.
