I am still extremely proud, sadly OG broke DotA so the finals was no contest.
Next time it could be us (and I guess Kuro now has to aim to be a tripple TI champ )

We saw a great running through the LB. The series reminded somehow of the Paris Major. It felt like Liquid ran out of options to contest OG, this weird build onTopson on Gyro was really a next level play.

Settle down get some rest and next year at Sweden the second TI will be Liquids...hopefully.

sad that this fantastic lower bracket run was not rewarded. besides the first game, this grand final was very one sided. but this team has shown that they have a lot of potential, they can only get better. gg wp to all teams!

We got spanked, seems like we deserved it. OG did play good but we didn't play dota for 3 games :D
WP to OG, gl to our boys next year.

P.S. More Team Liquid action in 2 days on the CS:GO front, if you guys don't follow the team, just do it - they are also amazing!

I think the Liquid boys said it themselves in one of the interviews. Liquid suffered from complacency issues every since they won TI7 and eventually had to kick Matu because of it. I think ever since the Matu kick, Liquid started slowly fixing these issues with themselves, but I think it was just too little too late this TI unfortunately. Liquid having to play the entire lower bracket, as an entertaining as it was, crippled us in the grand finals. We ran out of strats and OG still had them saved up. The group stage performance was our death sentence and who isn't more deserving of a win than a team that play well throughout the entire event like OG?

I hope I'm not wrong about Liquid having their hunger back. I hope next season they go into things and take it much more seriously than they did last season. No more settling for second place.

The boys should take a well deserved break so that when they do come back next season, they're not exhausted by the time TI10 comes. I don't think it's a coincidence that the two teams in the grand finals of this TI were both of the top teams who took a break at some point in the season and skipped a Major or two. Don't fall for the same trap that every other team falls under when they believe "the grind" will give them the results that they want because look how it worked out for the rest of them. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

No, not as far as I know. I think it's because sports psychologists are really new in Dota. I can't think of a single team that had one before OG? It was a job that, to some extent, fell onto the coach. Think Blitz took that role leading up to TI7.

I'm sure they'll get one if they ask, though. Both the CS:GO and LoL team has one. Sure it's easier as they're both based in LA but I don't think Liquid would turn down a request like that.

Awh, if W33 is out, I'm glad we left him with a paycheque. He was a good fit for the team imo, and I'd be curious to see how he develops with the team, if given time.

HAH. All the trash talk that I've thrown towards the former Team Liquid team and now they're not Liquid so it's like I never said those things about those players or the team cause they're not Liquid anymore.

It's sad to see them go but I always expected this of Kuro at some point because that's what Secret was supposed to be for him. Hopefully, Liquid gets a new Dota team because the organization seems very great and it'd be really nice to see them supporting a new set of players.
