Liquid went 1-1 against NP though, not 0-2. And so did Vega and Imperial, the 2 other teams of the potential tiebreaker. So NP's forfeit doesn't really have that much of an impact on the final results.

There are OG, VP and Adfinem. And then there are a lot of T2 teams like Secret, Liquid, Vega, Escape that are on the same level. And with most tournaments only having one or two spots for EU it is hard to qualify.

IMO it's way too early in that dota year to call any of these teams T1/T2.

I'd say EG and OG are on another level in the West at least for now. The rest keep trading wins, AF certainly haven't proven themselves yet. Winning the qualifiers to the actual tournament doesn't make you a top contender there yet.

That OG and EG are the best Western teams probably true.

I just can't understand how you can confortably call EG and OG the best teams in the west when both teams barely played any games. I mean, lets look at OG results: marstv -> 1 position above secret, who couldn't even qualify to the major faceit invitational -> lose to empire esl -> win against prodota (not even AM qualifiers playoffs) and F5 (worst team in the EU qualifiers), lose to VP (good team) elimination mode -> win against kaipi (after the shuffle) and escape (won 2 of their last 20 maps played) EG played even less games. They might be the best teams in west, but you just CAN'T say that right now.

I dont see a difference, they just got more direct invites and had easier teams to play against. They still lose against the same stacks liquid does. EG looks strong, Newbee looks strong, Faceless, AF and VP. I have no picture about DC yet.

OG had some mixed results this weekend (after I posted), but let's not forget that liquid recently lost to Kaipi in a best of 3, a squad which has as many achievements as a local community college dota club, and has never qualified for a major. You don't expect even bad professional sports clubs to lose to amateurs, and you don't expect a premier team like liquid to lose to nobodies, yet right now they do.
