DPC 2023 is here, let's discuss!
Ice breakers:
- Is this RTZ's year??!
- Will a non-WEU team win TI?
- Will we get all 3 majors?
- Will we see a real patch this year?

Every year is RTZ's year! Hm, EU still looks damn strong... Actually Lima looks not that good with all the politicial trouble they have down there right now... but maybe someone there knows more what's going on there. I see very little news about it here in Germany! Lima still looks sort of "calm"! For years I would like to get a "real patch" after TI and the next TI as the culmination of the patch! Don't know why this is not done... too long?

Liquid looking pretty freakin strong during their first series against Secret. Tundra also wiped the floor with OG. Gonna be a very tense series between OG and Secret, losing team will be already at a dire spot.

Two games that Fnatic probably thought they already won but... 20k networth is not much it seems!

Their recent games had unusual high accuracy of dewarding, where several members of the team moved near enemy wards suspiciously to pinpoint exactly where the ward is. The average wards dewarded by Knights in this DPC was 12.57, compared to only 9 from Aster in second place.

Against "lesser" opponents I see good stuff coming in!

Back to WEU: Secret looking completely lost so far, all four games have been stomps. Looking rough. On the other hand, Nigma put up more of a fight than expected and even took a game away from Tundra. Still it looks like that Ammars hero pool is concerning, he played his signature Mars, Huskar and Razor from the carry position. But their laning stage was on point in all three games and Sumail bodied Nine in all three games. Hope they will pull through against ITB, same is a must win series on Friday.

Espacially in S/NA there are quite a few team shuffles. Also want to see how Dendi is doing tonight in NA!

EDIT: Similar to casters curse...seems that Secret will win their first game during this DPC-season. 14k ahead after 30min against Entity.

RTZ said in the post match interview that they scrim a lot of EU teams now since they are based on the east coast of NA, certainly very helpful for closing the gap to top teams out there!

WEU: Secret/Nigma in the bottom... probably not many expected that! On the other end: Liquid look very strong! Nisha was an incredible addition! EEU: BetBoom did a good "switcheroo"! Now the team to beat! Together with Spirit. Navi and VP would probably like to win a bit... China: Aster playing very well! And aside from the 0:x teams it looks quite close! Will be interesting, who drank too much in their new-year SEA: Fnatic is definitely underperforming. A surprise is Geek Slate; coming from Div2 but currently crushing it! But a lot can happen there! NA: Well, Dendi, that looks not good for your "American Dream"... On top not much happening. I would be very surprised if TSM and Shopify(old EG) will not make pos 1/2! SA: (new)EG is doing well in the south. Probably the "grudge match" against beastcoast on the last day. Also I should look at Alliance, if they can keep their Div1 spot.... not watching much from there...

EDIT: Game 2 they were stomping. Sumail with the heavy lifting on Leshrac and still Nigma is one of the few teams which can make Io work.

The storyline is insane. After ending Puppeys TI-run in 2017,2018 and 2019, Kuro can now pushing Secret to Div2.

Very often in the past, they had to play the catch-up game because one or two of their cores were underfarmed. During the whole DPC-tour, they came out of the laning stage ahead or at least even(except 2nd game against Liquid), but afterwards it felt like they did not know what to do next. My concern is still that they fully rely on Suma1l crushing his lane and run rampant around the map, this can be easily exploited by the better teams. The storyline is insane. After ending Puppeys TI-run in 2017,2018 and 2019, Kuro can now pushing Secret to Div2. If their issue is not knowing what to do next, that will be solved with more games, experience, communication etc.. It will come.

EEU: BB and Spirit are on top. They also gave us some really entertaining maps in their game! Here, Navi to Div2 is probably the surprise! China: Started their last week! Let's see if Knights and LGD are keeping their spots with Aster. SEA: Geek Slate did it; from Div2 to Major! Well played! On the other side: BOOM and Fnatic dropping down. BOOM won the last Div1 season... seems their "new team" does not click yet! NA: TSM and Shopify("EG") are at the Major. That was somehow expected! I did not expect that B8 actually survived and are still Div1! SA: "new EG" and beastcoast made it. The 4-way-tie for points was won by Alliance! Nice to see this team with a bit of impact again! Not sure if they can deal with the top two the next seasons...
