the item in dota is a reference to an item in Phantasy Star Online where yasha and monkey king bar are also in the same vein. even if that were not the case, it's a pretty weebs name for an item and I can't see it being Romanization for anything other than a Japanese word.
in both cases, it'd be, "sa-n-ge". sa as in "pasta", or "san" like the sc2 player or the word meaning mountain. and ge, sort of like "gay" or "geh", unlike the letter "J" or how you'd begin to pronounce "gyrocopter".
similarly, yasha would be "yā-sha", the "a" is not pronounced like the one used in "apple".

it should probably feel like two (or three) syllables and not just one like in the first example. sorry, just wanted to put that out there.
