I had a Blue microphone (different model) and I gave up and just got a headset. Slightly less audio quality (considering the mic is near my mouth now some people think it's more clear actually) for infinitely times more convenience. I get to use voice-activation in Mumble finally. I have that problem even with a headset.
Then again Blues are really fucking loud.

That's pretty interesting I read the exact opposite in reviews for the Yeti online so I never ended up buying it and trying it out after my experience with the Snowball.

OBS has is really sparse on the audio options in general. It also gets super drunk and forgets what I want to be my mic a lot as well.

I just tested the mic in a game of dota, next headphones and my friend said he couldn't hear the game all that much unless QOP was ulting and that was with me bahsing my keyboard.
I turned the gain down, mic sound down and set it to a more directional line towards me, so it seems to be working for the most part.
I'll test it with OBS after I install ths cooler

OBS is just an open channel you will in fact hear everything.
Also I have no idea if you mean your friend can hear your game because you're playing on speakers which are transmitted when you use push-to-talk. Because that's not what I'm talking about at all.

get a N64 and play goldeneye, its better.

ugh,
I didnt want to say this
but goldeneye is fucking overrated these days and it doesnt hold up well at all
|
AWWW it's like ure where saying "mario kart is overrated" or "smash bros 64 is overrated"
fine, so let's grab a N64 and play Perfect Dark ?
|
Don't worry, I'm sure Torte thinks the original star wars trilogy and 80s metal are overrated too

Man i want to buy a WiiU as well, so many cool games coming out and even games already out that i want to play. Splatoons, smash (3DS smash only lasts for so long ), bayonetta, various mario titles, especially mario kart 8, wonderful 101, pikmin 3, that new upcoming LoZ, Yoshi's wooly world and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. Probably forgot a few, but yeah.
I think if i had someone to play it with on a regular basis i would've already bought it.

WiiU has been slightly tempting me too, my last Nintendo home console was NES and I've been in the Sony camp with PS1/PS2/PS3 after that but I am considering skipping PS4 since just about all the games seem to end up on PC eventually these days, Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy included. Naughty Dog games, Gran Turismos and a some JRPG's like Ni No Kuni being the notable ones that don't get ported over I suppose but I can probably live without these.
Meanwhile WiiU has at least all the Mario games, Zelda's, upcoming Xenoblade and Bayonetta 2.
Playstation and Xbox have been essentially budget PC's for a while now, Xbox since it's beginning I suppose, for me this isn't a good thing.

I had over 35 games for the Nintendo 64, it was my first console after the CD-I. Goldeneye was good back then, but it is fucking horrible now except for playing Oddjob and proxy mining the bathrooms.
An underrated game that's so awful and buggy is fucking Silicon Valley, that game was good.
I want to get a Wii U, but I feel so silly buying a huge screen TV for it (40 to 55 inches), I always wanted a big screen TV so it's my excuse to get it.
But my memories of playing Nintendo games were with my brother and two sisters, so I'm not sure if I buy it and play it alone, if I will still have fun or simply was misguided by those old fond memories

Before I built my PC I was the same way with getting all the Sony consoles. However this generation of consoles has really turned me off with the whole 'give us money so you can play online' without providing anything even close to the level of reliability or speed of steam. I didn't mind buying PS+ when it was optional, but making it mandatory just leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
I just hope that bloodbourne gets a PC release eventually. If that happens I'll be okay without a console.

I'm hoping that the Wii U internet connection is not shit. I returned my Wii in under 30 days of buying because Smash Brawl's internet was goddamn awful
|
I want to get a PS4, but the price is just to high and it needs like 3 more games before I will get it. I love Infamous, but I can hold off until Bloodborne and a couple other games come out. Plus I am happy to let the Sony and Microsoft fight over price for another year.
My master plan is to get a Wi in the next couple of months and just soak in all the games I miss out on over the last 10 years.
