There's this moon festival or something. People are submitting workshop stuff for it. Also, they're definitely preparing the port to Source 2 and the full support of custom maps, that's definitely the colossal changes for next year that they announced in the blog post. | ||

*** Oh more anecdata: just played with dual roaming supports and we fucking destroyed them, it was like 32-2 at some point. Ended up 56-18 because they had Void and Tiny and breaking highground was a little hard AND one of our carries started going YOLO (mostly that last part). If it weren't for that they never would have come back into it at all. If you can call trading kills with us for the last ten minutes but ending with only But they did have some levels and some items and it was *possible* but we were winning because we fucking dominated them from the start and we stayed winning because the dumb shit was brief. I played 10 games in the current patch and i haven't won a game that i should not win, and i didn't lose a game that i shouldn't lose. People just really want to throw their bad plays into the patch and saying they still should have the possibility to play bad, get killed and still win because they got a lucky early start. The EXP/GOLD change does not punish good play, it punishes bad play. Is it too high? maybe, but lets wait it out for a week or two to see how pro games look like, because i still believe that they play better then 95% of the pub players and make the better calls. If they have no problem with the patch in two weeks, then nobody else should either | ||

This new aoe bounty is just plain stupid and will be heavily reduced before long, you can't totally change the gold distribution behaviour without totally messing the power curve of almost all heroes. Probably because there's a lot of people going "omg we got teamwiped 5-0 with a 30k advantage and then lost wtf" or "omg my team was up 20k but then I yolo dove and fed for no gain then we lost wtf?" like they should be able to just do whatever the fuck they want if they have a lead and anything else is casualizing the game for bad players. There's a common trend of people thinking that winning the early/mid game means they should win the late game by default, as well people acting like it's easy to take fights when you're down 10k+ gold/exp in the mid game. Maybe the numbers are too high. Early game strats shouldn't be made unviable, for example (note that I'm not saying they are or aren't, I don't know). But that's something to be tweaked, and I don't think that this was just a kneejerk reaction to the deathball meta or an attempt to casualize the game like some people are suggesting. | ||
