AFAIK CG only applies to heroes and not to creeps

i think i read the effective CD is the same as the timer on mek and pipe - you cannot get buffed by it again XX seconds after having the buff. its 50secs i believe?

Right right. If it did affect creeps, it would be really broken because it basically would mean you could solopush a lane by crimson guarding the creeps repeatedly, and since your creeps wouldn't die and would hardly be harmed by tower damage it would mean huge wave stacks.
CK is the strongest hero in all of Dota 2, lore wise.

I think this meta is going to be one of pretty intensive early fighting. Not pushing, but fighting. Maybe you win a teamfight and then mow down a tower afterward.

  • Remember, gold is still at a high passive gain from a few patches ago. And with the new gold distribution, things can flip flop more easily. It takes fewer good teamfights to send things going in one teams favor.

  • Two runes means that your mid will have double their mana and health sustain, or now a support can have part of it too.

  • The changed trees on the offlanes will allow mid to gank it more easily, the era of farming mids is over. A farming mid will be outclassed by a queen of pain who is getting both runes and ganking so much in so little time.

or maybe my connection is filtered and I cannot read what the real patch notes because the copied version on this site doesn't contain crimson guard information.

I don't think it's fair to say that mid's sustain is unaffected because of bottle crowing. It's not always possible, or practical (especially in pubs) to bottle crow. Having a guaranteed rune and filled bottle every 2 minutes will be nice and definitely affects the mid matchup more than you let on.

Yeah having comparable mid sustain without bottle crowing is a boon to any team that would have made it possible and a boon to any mid that could not have reliably bottle crowed.

Also lol yes both offlanes are now more gankable which is an underdiscussed indirect nerf to Void (among others). The lane changes and rune changes changes the comparable viability of many heroes, saying otherwise is just lol-worthy.

Securing runes as a support will be a lot more important now, the courier is slower so they can't make it up with bottle crow as well anymore when the support takes a rune.

Bottle crowing is now MUCH less practical, but thats made up for by the 2nd rune. There's no real difference in sustain available to mid heroes, in fact there's by and large LESS sustain available IMO since bottle crowing was better than getting a rune every 2 mins. And this is before you take into account supports and junglers going for the runes since it's now a guarantee.
