Does the bounty rune give reliable or unreliable gold?
CK is the strongest hero in all of Dota 2, lore wise.

Plansix what are you on? The gold formula is the per-hero bounty, not the total bounty, lol.

Also, the worst part about this isn't even the astronomical bounty for killing a carry--it's that if the catchup factor becomes significant, the best return is on killing otherwise low-value heroes. So when you're behind the best strategy is to farm the feeder on the other team for your catchup gold.

There is no reason why assist gold wouldn't work as it has always worked, a bigger bounty overall for the team if there are a lot of people in the area, but a smaller bounty individually. If they changed that they would obviously say something.

The issue with this notion of a catch-up mechanic is that it's conceptually flawed. Catching up was traditionally about eking out gradual advantage through using high-mobility low-impact heroes to disproportionately project onto the map (rat doto). Now it's about rolling the dice for that one big teamfight where you make up for everything. So, between the farm-efficient team that splits up for objectives and the boring 5man teamfight team, who's going to win?

It's the teamfight team. Every fucking time. Just like last version. Any attempt the rat team makes to catch up will punish them as soon as they manage to get ahead. They have to group up to take high ground with how much chip pushers like NP have been nerfed, and so it'll always come down to the teamfights that let the dumb "let's draft five big ultis" team win.

Get ready for a few more months of more FUCKING Void and Doom, because those pieces of shit aren't going anywhere.

It does work like assist gold. The assist gold formula always calculated it for individual heroes.

Ah, I understand now and know more. I apologize to those that I offended with my wrongness and hope they can forgive me for being wrong.

I don't know how much it will factor in. A 20K lead is huge, but I guess if the other team could get a string of pick offs they could come back a lot easier than before. Or one huge team wipe, but I think that is really unlikely in a competitive match.

I mean mek now sux on doom, blink costs more, his ult does no damage, his ult doesn't disable half the things it used to, his best devour creep got hella nerfed, refresher got a cd nerf... it all adds way the fuck up

Oh yeah and that cast point nerf is GIANT too although it still doesn't apply to scorched earth i don't think so thats :/

There are other builds besides Arcane/Mek. Doom damage type changed to Pure, did you even read the log? It's a very minor nerf to damage. He still shuts down a hero or two per teamfight. That's big.

Doom's damage dropped from 52.5 to 50 at lvl 3, for example. Does literally no damage.

It is and it isn't a change at all.

His cast point being .5 on the other hand is a big change and worth nothing.

Doom does no damage now? Wut? Pay attention, it lost like 30 damage total on lvl3 for example. Rest of points are pretty darn valid (tho 100 more gold for blink is still like 20 seconds more for Doom).

no its not equivalent, its definitely a damage nerf.

30*.75=22.5, now down to 20. >10% nerf. Okay its not "no damage" but his ult was never THAT much damage in the past. Now its less.

Nerf to Doom is not inconsequential, it's certainly enough to eat into his 55% pro winrate in 6.81. All those little things add up a lot.
