The system "punishes" you for playing as a stack, you get better opponents than if you queued single queue. Your teamwork should carry you through, if you don't have that, or it isn't good enough you'll probably lose, though.
And as others said, the MMR works in a way that when you win, your opponents get better while your team stays the same or gets worse, making it harder and harder to win, the more victories you have.

In my limited experience, there's no like...best counter jungling hero. It's more of how you adapt and play. I find that if I'm up against a lycan, it's easy for me to just wander into his jungle as a support, preferably one with stuns, and just harass him and generally be an annoyance. Killing or even just damaging his wolves slows down his jungle considerably. If you can, get your lane partner to go with you and you can threaten kills on lycan.

The key is to go in and annoy him early. Don't wait until he's level 6 with vlads. If you can interrupt him while he's at the easy camp, that will really set him back.

Also, ward the easy camp. It means he'll usually be lower on health when you start roaming his jungle because he has to tank the creeps a bit more than usual.

This can't be entirely true, otherwise the best players would end up always having the worst players in their team. I'd assume the enemy team has just as many "bad" people as yours in it (the worse people are, the more snowbally and random are games).
tl;dr: "If you can't carry 4 retards vs 5 retards... you might be one of them." =P

Yes, It's not exactly true. Your oponents do get better but your allies should also get better. But the system thinks you also got a lot better, when in reality you are basically the same player, so your team gets worse overall, and in time you should lose enough to get back to around a 50% winrate.
Your point about the best players in the world may be true though, if you are the best player, by keeping an average skill level similar in both teams you end up with more balanced oponents that are worse than you, while the fact your teammates are worse than the other team are balanced by the fact you are better than them. That is of course reliant on you actually being better then your oponents, not just believing you are. This really shouldn't happen that often, unless you are at the very top of the MMR. It's much more likely people just don't remember the "retards" on the other team as well as they do when they are on their team.

Yeah pretty much this. For every player who makes weak decisions or plays on your team there is a similar one on the enemy team. I had some fun games playing with friends who have a much higher MMR than myself and the games usually end up with having 1-2 fat guys on either side because they abuse the mistakes everyone else makes.

EU seems buggy for me atm. Party invites and leaves register way late (almost a minute after I pressed accept or leave) and me and some friends are unable to find a game for the last 15 minutes; normal queue ofc.
Edit: ok I closed dota and steam and restarted and instead of the eu chat I've been put in the NA one.

I think this game indeed throws you to the sharks if you win a little bit too much.
I had a nice little 20+ Win ratio, then suddenly and without warning. I got retarded teams... Like... REALLY REALLY Eye-gouging suicide makingly bad.
I lost 12 games in a row, 2 of which where mostly my fault because it was so frustrating.
Then I started winning a few games more, went up to 17 win ratio. And now im in the dumpster again with 5 straight losses because of idiots insta picking 4 carries, russians (MY GOD RUSSIANS) and other scum that has not the slightest clue.
Meanwhile, my opponents litteraly laugh themselfs all the way to an easy victory.
Fix this MMR shit. I dont want 50% nonsense. I want to play and win, or lose because the opponent was better. Not lose because this game must make me close to 50% giving me idiots who go full retard.

Enchantress really is the biggest "counter" to most junglers. She just takes the strongest creep and throws spears at you, and you can't do anything, if you try to get close stomp/clap/shockwave to the face (not even gonna talk about Wildkin). Especially bad when you're Radiant, as your easy camp is exposed -_-

The matchmaking really is quite atrocious. After I get a good number of wins going, it's common that the next ten teams I'm on will feature me plus four other people who average like 75 last hits per game while the opposing team will have four people who average 150 or something like that.
