Weaver was pretty common. Really common, in fact, along with Alch. I remember aiming towards drafting those two a lot of the time. Were they bad enough to be considered cancer? They didn't strike me as that, but who knows, they could have been. And OD was lane-winning mid, but I don't think he just showed up in every AP game as well. | ||

Also re techies signage, I don't like the idea of it but I don't think it's going to affect anything so w/e. I would rather it was something like you could attach it to a mine and when that mine explodes on your face it pops up as an ironic warning or something | ||

Ummmm, no last TI had that ever so wonderful 'don't even bother going to the offlane you can get more in the jungle no matter what' meta. And then in pubs after that it was Huskar with the new Berserker's Blood, Treant was also stupidly strong at this point as well, and Spirit Breaker was broken as shit. Oh and OD couldn't lose mid at all unless it was Razor or Viper. After that (6.79) we had Free pathing Brood, the beginning of the return of lycan, Imbavoker, and Bristleback got buffed to the point of nearly unkillable. Every patch has a few. This one is just Void and a handful of others. Prophet has always been a bitch though. Hence why he was excluded. Also as a reminder, 6.79 was also when every single player on both teams would get Midas. Literally the 5 position support would jungle up and get a Midas whenever they could. | ||

This time of year, mind. I'm pretty sure some of those weren't even around September of last year, given that the next patch didn't happen until October. So everything you're saying about 6.79 is right out the window. The issue about the offlane isn't a hero deal. Huskar was definitely a problem, gotta agree there. Especially with the unintended Ghost Scepter interaction. Tree was actually weaker at that exact point in time, if memory serves. Living Armor was a lot worse, and he wasn't PPD-tier yet. OD could also lose against Kunkka, but he was pretty strong. I acknowledged that in an above post. Anything that really dominated pubs outside of Huskar? | ||

I am noticing that the tinker/void pickers in these games are far far more likely to blame the entire rest of the team for losing than any other FotM picks though. I've had so many void games where he's useless in lane or tinker games where he does nothing but splitpush that result in "gg team is garbagecan peruvians" than anything else. I haven't met a nice void picker yet. But who cares, because fuck that hero. I'd honestly rather play against it than with it, it's a really shit pub hero imo. | ||
