Intended change confirmed Doesn't that already work? I'm pretty sure if you chrono a slark under ult, he gets revealed. What's more weird that one of the new tooltips is saying that you can sell bkb and buy a new one to refresh the charges. I wonder if it's a mistake and they made to type "drop" instead of "sell" or if it's really getting changed. I think it's just a mistake, I don't really think IceFrog is buffing bkb. Maybe if the item as a whole gets reworked more, but that doesn't seem like either.
if anything, it will be sold for a very small amount of gold (or maybe none, just so it doesnt have to be on ground/in inventory) and then people can rebuy it. i think its more likely that icefrog is making it so the item won't be laying around, accidentally picked up, etc.
the tooltip might be just to let people know that you don't have to keep the bkb even though its (currently) unsellable. they can buy a new one if necessary.

It doesn't work that way in DotA 1. Hence why he said "intended change". Explicitly putting it in the tooltip implies its the intended behavior and not a bug--which it was to this point. Ooh, I didn't even think of WC3 DotA. I think it's safe to assume that at this point the Dota 2 behaviour is the intended one. IceFrog even changed the blink dagger rearm interaction into WC3 DotA to work the same way, I think that kind of sets a precedent.

The article was pretty good. Stating how things are, what the hopes are while also stating some of the issues faced.
One of the biggest issues which are never discussed are the massive costs for a person trying to break in. A computer (and internet connection) is something a majority of the world population can't afford. Which is why sports such as Soccer succeed so much better than most other major sports, you can make all the tools needed to play by yourself (though your ball won't be up to FIFA standard :p).

It's still in line with the precedent that unless Icefrog specifically changes DotA 1 or says it's intended, DotA 1 is the intended behavior.
And like I said, literally the only reason it's this way is because a tester forgot to add this to a list of skills that got fixed while it was on test client. Chrono being the lone exception is not deliberate and horribly inconsistent with every other true sight skill for no reason.

And basketball succeeding in poor urban areas (where cities will build courts anyway), and football succeeding in the South (where there's plenty of space for big fields)...

i don't think that a tooltip confirms anything really, it is more a description of the current situation. They even asked the community to make some tooltips.

There's a whole section of the 6.81b changelog called "PARITY" that includes the blink change.+ Show Spoiler +PARITY
- Spiderlings Poison Sting damage no longer stacks - Tornado's aoe increased from 175 to 200 - Rupture no longer deals damage to Invulnerable units - Ice Blast no longer gets dispelled - Tinker rearm refreshes Blink Dagger state - Lone Druid in True Form attack range same as default melee (150->128) - Empower Cleave aoe from 250 to 200 - Battle Hunger gets dispelled when target is Magic Immune
source That's also not the first time it happened. When kotl was ported over, illuminate's range was like 300 longer than it should've been and never got fixed, it just got ported over to Dota 2. And yeah, it was just because a tester screwed up, but I'm sure a good number of features we have in dota are there because of accidents like this. Also, the shadowdance/chrono interaction was not fixed in the giant bugfixing patch that came out a couple months ago. Sure it didn't fix all the bugs, but the slark/void thing was very well known, I'm sure they would've fixed it back then if they wanted to.
edit: why did it block playdota.com link?? http://www.playdota.com/changelogs/6.81b testing
edit2: well, that's weird.

Because LD is fearful of superior DOTA website, and needs to censor it with the Great Ice Wall.
probably a bug or something

You know trolling has gone too far when I suspect that is a troll and not legit.

If you quote the post with the blocked URL, you can even see the blocked link in the message editor. That's super weird, lol.
Also, the latest cyborgmatt patch analysis was posted on gamespot. RIP ongamers? It was posted there as well, but it seems like they're maybe moving the content over.
