Eh, I didn't like the last patch that much - the only thing I did like about it was when abbadon, et, and such were added to the pool to make it seem less stale.

We've only gone 14 weeks without a hero, I'm sure Tresdin and Xin will be here soon. :U

even if you run bat in jungle you need to kill the small camps. with dmg nerf idk if you can kill small camp and get to large camp fast enough to stack it again. Also jungle give less exp and gold.basically it is prob a 10 min blink dagger instead of 8

- Berserker's Call AoE increased from 275 to 300
- Battle Hunger duration reduced from 10/13/16/19 to 10/12/14/16
- Battle Hunger damage reduced from 15/21/27/33 to 15/20/25/30
- Battle Hunger movement speed slow/bonus increased from 8% to 10%
- Battle Hunger is now dispellable
- Counter Helix cooldown reduced from 0.55/0.5/0.45/0.4 to 0.45/0.4/0.35/0.3
- Counter Helix now hits siege units
- Culling Blade no longer goes on cooldown if it successfully kills a hero
- Culling Blade threshold reduced from 300/450/625 to 250/350/450 (Aghanim upgraded version is still 300/450/625)
- Culling Blade speed bonus increased from 25% to 40% and AoE from 600 to 900
- Culling Blade 40% speed bonus now applies to attack speed as well
- Culling Blade Aghanim allied buff duration increased from 6 to 10
- Culling Blade manacost reduced from 150/200/250 to 60/120/180

IO, Batrider, Naga, Troll, Elder Titan, Life Stealer, Outworld Devourer, Visage. Why do these heroes have to be picked/banned in the first phase of 95% of all the pro games played? Just the fact that these heroes where nerfed makes this patch awesome in my opnion. Now I can actually be surprise while watching the early draft. Eventually things will settle down and some combination of heroes will replace the current 8 heroes. But then Icefrog can again mess things up, and the game resettle and the cycle continues. Change is what makes a game like dota great. Image 2 consecutive internationals with similar metas? That would just be sad. Just look at the vods of international when a captain chooses a hero thats not standard the crowd goes wild. People don't really like to watch the same thing over and over just executed by diferent teams.
This patch makes more heroes viable in pro games, and so gives more room for teams to have unique playstyles. And that makes the game better to watch. As far as playing is concerned, it doesnt really matter. Unless you are one of those ppl that can only play a couple different heroes and suddenly you are nerfed, there are tons of possibilities for fun picks at pubs.
Of course there are a ton of non-hero changes that could cause problems. But maybe it could be great. The patch is just so big thats hard to tell. In general I'm quite happy with this patch and looking forward to playing with it as well as watching it being played.

To be fair, that works better on US servers. It's quite rare people use VOIP in pubs on EU servers (and if it is used, it's usually too hard to understand what's being said).

There's so much wrong with that I can't even begin to explain ;(

Not saying you personally are wrong, just in my experience voice chat can be a good facilitator but it takes way more than just that for 2 strangers to play a duo lane correctly.
