i always thought the offlane creep equilibrium was just a random feature of the map at first, a design overthought. now that offlane is incredibly pigeon holed it's pretty good that they changed this feature based on the gameplay effects.

bb nerf is pretty overdue, especially with the rat doto cheese bbs.

rosh change might produce more camping and inaction though. it's probably done to add more drama to the game to appeal to audiences, but will be annoying to play with

Chances of side lanes to TP to help another lane, gang, push, buy utility items like wards, dust, mek are 10x higher than those in woods. Chances of 0 0 0 jungler with all their T2 downs are pretty high on the other hand.

I was reading the patch notes and was thinking to meself 'damn I really hate all these changes, what the fuck, dead gaem Gabon fix'. Then I hit the letter R:
Rubick
- Telekinesis cooldown increased from 18 to 22
- Rubick can no longer steal the Aghanim upgrade of the enemy if they have Aghanim and he doesn't
- Added Aghanim's upgrade: reduces cooldown from 20/18/16 to 5, increases cast range from 1000 to 1400 and makes all stolen spells be considered to have their Aghanim's upgrade

What the shit.

So much crazy new stuff. It's incredible. Still reading, but those sound genuinely insane.
Bloodseeker more than max movementspeed, broodmother ganing free pathing, Viper not having cd on poison attack ok that was pretty tame.

I have an early theory we might be back to a heavy pushing meta - lane changes encourage this, and buyback change completely changes the ways teams calculate risk.

Maybe heavy split pushing.

Time to go fast. You can also throw a haste rune on top of this since no movement speed cap.

Haste resets you to 522, it's unknown if it's an oversight or intentional.

Crazy patch. I have a couple questions though.

Lich
+ Show Spoiler +

- Frost Armor has half effect against ranged heroes
- Frost Armor slow now stacks with the slow from Frost Nova
- Sacrifice cooldown increased from 35/30/25/20 to 44/36/28/20
- Sacrifice mana gain increased from 15/30/45/60% to 25/40/55/70%
- Sacrifice no longer denies enemy XP
- Sacrifice now converts your own creep for XP (shared in AoE as normal creep xp bounty)


Am I reading this right? Sacrificing one of your creeps gives you exp? If an enemy is nearby you both get the exp? Do you and an enemy hero split the exp from the sacrificed creep or do you both get the full value? It sounds like lich will be an even better mid/offlane hero. You just need to step back for a moment to sacrifice a creep before it gets into xp range of the enemy. Assuming you sacrifice a creep every 45 seconds (out of range for their exp), you'll have two full waves of creep exp over your opponent by the 6 minute mark.

* Evasion now stacks diminishingly

Does this stack in the same manner as vangaurd? Meaning that the effective damage block from 2 vang would bring your proc chance up to 90% from 70% (using old stats). How much evasion would you get from two butterflies as opposed to one? How much evasion would a pa with 6 butterflies have?

- Stifling Dagger is now dodgeable
- Stifling Dagger damage rescaled from 50/100/150/200 to 60/100/140/180

A level 16 pa's dagger can crit for 810 pure damage?

I started playing meepo quite a bit and have become pretty confident with him. The removal of the 30% stat sharing is a shame, but a 2nd meepo at level 4 seems pretty big. I'm thinking I would use my 2nd meepo to stack jungle camps, But a good rune or a smoke with some stunner allies could definitely get some early kills. Solo mid meepo looks much more powerful.

I would say the biggest winners from this patch are (in no real order): Broodmother, Lich, Bloodseeker and Meepo.

Biggest losers are: Alchemist, Furion and Visage. All the junglers will be sad at the reduced gold, but Furion was the only one with a straight nerf.

you have to remember that the dagger does half damage to heroes so its only 405. Still quite a bit though cause its so freaking spammable and pure damage (10 sec cd?)

That new Tranqs... 10 HP regen? That's quite imba isn't it? Probably the boots of choice by everyone now. Broken boot MS is still better than all others except Travels obviously.

It basically means PA's support can start roaming a lot sooner, and can leave her to 1v1 pretty immediately.

Its actually a big nerf to most heroes.

I wanted to try to run meepo as a support (he have net, global presence and a slow) but he doesn't become useful until level 6. But now getting to level 4 on a support is easier...
