A Tanky DPS 1H+Shield Barbarian Skill build: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WVSikP!ZVb!accacZ Gear+Stats + Show Spoiler + ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/Fi1wX.jpg) Screenshots taken with Enchantress buffs, Warcry and Battle Rage Not really aimed at farming efficiency (so no MF). Just want to be an immovable beast for the sake of it. Having 2,200,000 EHP (without dodge/block) and 46% block chance makes me able to face tank 3 elites at a time in Act 3 without any real difficulty. Molten, Arcane, Plague, Desecrator, Frozen, Fire Chains all at once? Meh. Just means they are less likely to be Illusionists, Extra Health, etc ... so faster to kill, haha :D Still able to kill things reasonably fast though with 44.7k DPS  Edit: guess I just missed the first barb boat  | ||

Probably the thing that kills me most is carelessness, like when I could have easily moved to dodge a whole lot of damage. Once in a blue moon an elite pack with the right combinations and which hit hard and slow might make me pop a potion (slow and hard is bad since I rely on Revenge sustain over LoH, and it makes my block less effective). | ||

I absolutely love your Barb. That's what I'm trying to build up as... In no particular order, though love playing Barb, Wiz and Monk. Wizard Spec: Standard wicked wind build. Have around 300+ hours invested in him. Still need some improvment here and there. But I can take on pretty much every kind of mob and boss without dying, unless I get careless ^^'' When I solo with my enchantress, I get almost 12k armor and 26.5k dmg. He isn't certainly not quite as godly as some of you guys, but I can still do Act III pretty well so I figured I qualified. I still don't farm it very much because of inefficient times and I've determined that the investment to get to the point where I could farm Act III at the same inefficiency that I can farm Act II would just be too great to be worth it. plus MF swapping in Act III is a real pain in the ass. I've only put in about 205 hours and don't really play anymore, except for the AH. Whenever I get bored I will play some to see if I can get some phat loots (it is the only game I know of where I could actually make some good cash on...). My gems are pretty bad, but I've actually done most of my trading through RMAH so I don't really have the funds to upgrade them, and at the same time I feel like their cost wouldn't warrant the small upgrades and the gold would be better spent elsewhere. + Show Spoiler [STATS] + ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/OLPDC.jpg) + Show Spoiler [GEAR] + | ||

Hungering - Devouring Cluster - Loaded for Bear SP - Gloom SS - Lingering Prep - Scars Companion - Bat Grenadier, Steady Aim, Archery up until recently. I wanted to try to see if it was viable to start skipping random trash mobs though. So I switched Bat to Vault - Tumble and Steady Aim to Tactical Advantage. Basic idea was to Vault with TA past most mobs until you meet an elite pack where you use mostly cluster bomb and gloom to clear out any possible random mobs you had on your tail and eventually also the elite pack itself. Result? I think I managed to lower overall run time slightly, but it most definitely resulted in a few more random deaths. And what used to be me breezing through mobs safely suddenly became quite the challenge having to manage your hatred/discipline while dodging massive amount of melee mobs and projectiles with very limited space to use for kiting. Not sure it ended up being more effective farming, maybe slightly. Got Cydaea + Azmo runs down to steadily around 10min unless there were any particularly annoying packs, with the fastest runs going slightly faster too. But I did enjoy the challenge if someone likes that and wants to give it a shot ^^ Running what I guess you could call "tanky dps" with ~70k dps (only Archery) ~56k hp and ~400 resists. I think it could work quite well with slightly better gear or if I'd go back to Act 2 or something. It would probably benefit a lot to have 4 piece Natalyas too, which I dont have (never felt I needed it when just playing normal kiting, just too many lost stats imo. But with the massive disc spending of Vaulting past mobs and then Glooming+SSing against packs I really started feeling like it would be a good idea). The lack of Bat companion was also noticable. In the end it seems like the endgame goal to me should be to get to the point where you can effeortlessly get past trash mobs and just care about elites, kinda like how well geared Barbs can play. | ||
