Yeah I totally agree with you. Although they are nice in that they have some special modifiers that can't be found on blues/yellows on occasion, they are just so overwhelmingly terrible. I just ended up DEing the last 2 I found.

I can't tell how much this is worth. My guess is 100k-1mil? Either way it is the best item I have found so far.
If it isn't as good as I think what is wrong with it? All I can see is that it is lacking Vit and base stat is INT.

I still don't get the pricing on legendaries tbh. People put them at atleast a million, just for being legendary. There are some you will want to have as best in slot (like a good rolled Storm Shield for a barbarian) but most aren't worth the asking price if you look at the stats..

What don't you understand. The "+X Random Magical Properties" determine the quality of the item. They're there to ensure that you have to grind your little heart out not only to find the item but also to get the best possible properties. Perfectly rolled legendaries are the best items in the game. Blizzard just mde them incredibly rare.

Most barbs build for tanking, they don't get the level of skill synergy DH do with crits.
EDIT: same reason no one wants the STR version of Andariel's, want tank stats on a barb helm

Wrong, 99% legendaries are at their best are nowhere near as good as a top tier rare. They are categorically weak. For example the highest DPS possible one handed legendary is Azurewrath at around 750dps max, that is fucking terrible. Every top selling one hander in AH right now is breaking 1k dps, and are all rares and blues.
That said, people still pay exorbitant sums right now just because of the brown color.

Like this, its total shit. 437dps on a 2 hander is garbage. But I just sold a slightly better one than this for 400k on Us server. So i'd try a price in that range.

What I do understand is that my blue crossbow already does significantly more damage than the best possible ranged unique that could ever exist.
But they still have a role. The Grandfather I just had drop became my Enchantress' new weapon.

Its still a really good ring, I'd say you can probably get over a mil for it at least. Barbs can have fat crit synergy and this ring is perfect for that. No amount of tank allows you to tank inferno so far

There's a pretty famous player named kripparrian on http://www.youtube.com/user/Kripparrian. Even if his theorycrafting is inherently flawed, he pretty much dictates market demand/value for barb items.
