i really dont like the way blizzard is going with this game. d2 was the exact same thing as aspect runs and it was a LOT more fun, the thrill of actually finding something really good. if blizzard continues to nerf all the good grinding spots, this game isnt going to be as successfull as d2 was long-term

Aspects weren't nerfed few hours ago, done it like 200 times and you'r not showered with rares, I've ever got like 5-10 rares from there and all but one sucked ass, you'll make money by selling good high dps magic weapons, got few that sold for +2m, few for +1m and tons for 100-800k.
And D2 MF runs fun? Maphack->tele to meph/tower/ w/e, kill, loot, do a few times and b.net throws you out for 1-12h, yippee. And after a while your so fed up with it that you'll just get a bot to do it for you and just stop playing. Really hope they'll nerf this spot soon, but not before I can finish my gear  .

if everyone would have to farm without maphack and teleport, but still running bosses, it would be fair. and imo it was alot more fun than farming champions where some classes are just far better to solo than others ...

The people who did boss farming in D2 were the casual, the best loot can from the Cave in act 1 and The Tunnel in Act 2, thats where you picked up the truly good items and the mobs would kill most classes/builds.

Sorry hipster, I didn't farm in D2, I had every good perfect runeword/legendaries cause the economy was so fucked up. Magic finding sets were more for the luxury of "having one" rather than to go out and actually do it.

The best items required champ packs from one of the following areas to reach a TC87 which could drop every item in the game.

Maggot Lair 3
Ancient Tunnels
Forgotten Temple
Ruined Fane
Disused Reliquary
River of Flame
Chaos Sanctuary
Worldstone Keep 1
Worldstone Keep 2
Worldstone Keep 3
Throneroom
The standard ones to bot in Hardcore were Pit 1/2 and Ancient Tunnels due to the high density of mobs and champ packs and the types of mobs being physical melee/archers making a max block build a must.

For sure, I remember all those first weeks after a reset when you would have to grind them manually with newb gear on hardcore was fun as hell because they could easily kill a max block sorc/hdin like nothing if you fucked up.
Was a good thing the casuals didn't know about or couldn't farm these areas, it's the reason shit like shakos dropped to worthless while a Death Fathom or Griffin's Eye could go for a hundred plus. Or the 6x Tri-skill sorc wands / 5Nado Pelts that could go for several hundreds.

Yes, create game in hell mode on Prime Evil quest, Join public game (default option will be Prime evil inferno), leave pub game, resume game private, will be on act4 inferno prime evil quest.

the aspects have been terrible for me. I've done em about 40 times between today and yesterday and I only dropped 1 item that could be sold for over 200k, rest was just crap. I had 130% MF which isn't great but not too bad either.
As far as i see it the only advantage is of this spot is that 2 of the 3 possible spawns are super easy as tyrael beats them for you. As far as farming goes I think doing the 3 tombs at the cemetary in act 1 is much more efficient. You get relatively easy elites and have a decent chance to get a treasure goblin.

i think people farm the aspects for the fact that they might drop 1k+ dps weapons. did a ton of aspect runs on my monk and only thing that came close to that is a 900dps 2h weapon.
besides that, any other place to farm for 1k dps weapons?

I solo Butcher on inferno, but it takes just toooooo Long to get there ( Waypoint 2, them all 3) anyway to get there faster???

Don't think aspects are good anymore, doesn't matter if they're nerfed or not, few days ago 900 dps weapons sold easily for a million, now it's 100-200k. First 2 quests in A3 are decent, no super annoying mobs, pretty decent loot and enough elites to make it, with a bit of luck, worthwhile as long as you can do it reasonably fast.
