I've just purchased myself a low quality Skorn http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Genji-1536/hero/4192468 This is what I've got so far even though it's not much =( Thank you 16 mil is a good budget, By now you can buy a full IK set + Lacuni Prowlers with cc + everything else. As for the builds, the most common are sprint-WW and HotA based: http://www.diablofans.com/topic/84093-106-barbarian-popular-builds-hints-and-bis-gear-setups/

Here's my barbarian: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Raisa-1892/hero/32421213 As you might be able to see, my items are pretty much whatever I could scrape together for as little gold as possible. So, which items should I replace first, after I get some more gold? In which area could I benefit the most? Also, are my stats/skills alright? I've been told a whirlwind barbarian is a good build to use, and I like it so far. Should I change anything? I've also been told my vitality is low, should I swap gems for more hp? Thanks!

I spend some gold on the AH, buying a few items some friends of mine told me to buy. Here's my barbarian: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Raisa-1892/hero/32421213 Farm VotA MP0/1 for Demonic Essenses and Craft Shoulders/Gloves/Amu. Your Pants and Shoulders are pretty bad. You can get way better Rare-Shoulders with ~230+ Str/80 Vit and 80AR and maybe even %Life/Armor for little money. Your Weapon is pretty terrible. With nearly no IAS you should go + Show Spoiler [Dual Wield] + Main Hand : DPS 900+, Crit Dmg (50%+), socket (mace, axe or mighty weap) Off hand : DPS 600+, Crt Dmg (50%+) 2.5%+LS/socket And your Rings/Neck is really really bad. Try crafting Amus - you should get a better one really fast. With Rings look for 25+ Avg Damage, 4.5 CHC and IAS or CHD ...just link Rings in chat and look ingame what gives you most DPS increase for least money. For Pants get some with lower AR - that'll save you alot of money. Like ~90Str/185Vit/40+AR/200Armor. Because people look most of the Time for 100Str/200Vit/50Ar items little bit under these values are way cheaper.

I'll take a look if I can find cheap 1H on the AH too, and I'll check for some better pants too (Edit: I found a pair of 'nice' pants ![]()

I crafted about 3-8 of them, no luck so far sadly and it's burning through my gold haha. I play inferno on mp3 and it's going pretty well, I did a couple of VotA runs like you suggested. (I'm wearing my newly crafted shoulders/necklace, but it doesn't have CC or anything.. So I figured they're still pretty bad.) I'll take a look if I can find cheap 1H on the AH too, and I'll check for some better pants too. Thanks! If you have any more tips, I'd be happy to hear them. if crafting 8 pieces burns through your gold fast and an amu without cc or cd is your best amu simply because of 200 mainstat, then i assume you just started and have atrocious gear, correct? in this case, you should absolutely NOT play on mp3! probably mp0 is the way to go for you right now. killspeed always trumps the marginal bonuses of the first mp levels.

I just picked mp3 because I liked having a bit of challenge, and I was pretty much facerolling through mp0. But yeah, my killspeed will probably be a lot higher at mp0.

Was able to lollercoast through inferno. able to do mp4/5 without much difficulty

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Archy-2955/hero/463401 I've more or less just been having some fun not really looking at guides just playing with what i feel is fun (its one of the few games i havent aimed for the optimal). I'm comfortable in MP7 inferno, in MP8 i'm "okay" but there's a few more deaths then i'd like ![]() Incase you're wondering how i play with the weird skill setup. I keep the frenzy buff maxed at all possible times, i keep rend ticking on as many mobs as possible then i burn the rest of the rage on seizmic slam refreshing rend whenever i no longer see the debuff above the mobs heads. (But rule number 1 is to never get surrounded, in the event of getting surrounded, slam in a particular direction and gtfo! lol). It's probabaly a bit of a daft playstyle but i have fun with it. Most of my gear i got from "bids" rather then buyouts, the most expensive piece was the chest and bracers at 400k each (the legs were 15,000) so a good portion of the pieces arnt properly optimized. I'm curious about what you're opinions would be? i'm not sure where to go from here, whether i should start playing something standard (i do kinda enjoy my shouts/slam/rend thing), or how i should change stuff etc.

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/BlackXistenZ-2929/hero/3406592 where could i improve him? boots and shoulders could have more vita, amu and gloves could have trifecta and i could need some more res. imho i should get an allres ik helm and and then craft amus, shoulders and gloves. at the same time, i can look out for better ice climbers. i dont think marginal str gains, for example on the belt, are worth spending a lot atm. getting cd on the gloves and ias on the amu probably is worth a lot more. im not sure about the offhand. if provides sick dps boosts, but it is just quite slow. its hard for me to gauge how much that hurts my tornado dam compared to a sword offhand. on the other hand, 6% to elites is quite nice as well. this amounts to roughly 20k extra dps vs elites. well, at least Im very satisfied with my lacunis, ik chest, innas pants, the unity and my mainhand. dont think i need to change any of those anytime soon. ![]() @archybaldie: its sounds like you are really enjoying your barb with your quirky playstyle! you should just keep this up until it isnt fun anymore. never change an entertaining spec. ![]()

Meanwhile, after ~300 attempts I got the bracers you can see in my profile: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/BigG-2621/hero/412709 Now I'm wondering if I should replace my pants with str/vit Inna's and what to craft next (as soon as I get a couple hundred essences). We'll see.

And/or just say goodbye to the Hellfire ring. That way you should be fine as far as attack speed is concerned even with that offhand (which is very very good dps-wise). You seem to think that Legendaries are overall better than Rares? On a Budget Rares outclass Legendaries by a landslide! You have only Legendaries, but they are pretty much all terrible! But I would drop WarCry for Overpower(Killing Spree) and maybe change your offhand to a Dagger with LS, Socket and 90%+ CHC. And I don't know if its worth it to keep your Hellfire Ring. 35% are kinda useless if you farm on higher MPs.

You gear has the right stats, so you know what to go for - you just need more of it. You need way more crit. You can get 7% Crit more only on Neck and at least ~8% more on both rings. I would try to get more Crit first. Just craft necklace and buy some cheap DPS only Rings. As posted like 10 times before https://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/6471798208 still on of the best Newbie Guides.
