below that it's good to have firebomb as a primary to clear trash, with 80+ regen you can go with dart that's my experience (120k dps, playing on MP3-4) | ||

Neither firebomb nor darts use more mana than you regen anyways, so I don´t think it does matter which "cheap" spell you use if you´re out of mana... just use the one that you like the most no matter what your mana reg is. | ||

It's actually better now because Mara's has 3 random properties, so your stats don't take such a big hit (problem is finding good ones). In my current build, I use it for clearing Warrior's Rest with immense speed. My dps drops from 90k to 60k, but I can still clear it faster than with firebomb/bears. At MP4, vanilla skeletons are almost 1-shotted, and I can usually clear the area within the 20s BBV time. Problem is you need to get used to the spell; it's insanely clunky to use. If you thought zombie bears was bad, pile on is a nightmare. | ||

Biggest problem is elites have an enormous health pool because their hp scales insanely with mp levels. Even with bis gear and 30% soj, I don't think bears will do enough damage. Use bears to clear normal mobs, but pile-on spam will probably be necessary to down elites in a reasonable amount of time. | ||

My gear is terrible but that's because I have insane buyers remorse so I hate buying stuff. Advice on gear would be great. I don't know how much you can squeeze out of 25 mil but I'd like to be able to do mp1 really really quickly with no deaths  Edit: Dps is wrong on the link, it's actually 35k. And I just noticed that I had 11 euros on the RMAH. Totally forgot about that. So it seems that I have around 50 mil | ||

Zombie bears still look popular from what I can see, so let's say i'll play with those. Now I have no idea what current WD's are looking for in terms of stats. What type of weapon, two-hander (skorn axe looks pretty good) or a 1-hand/off-hand combo? I suppose I need some mana regen, ~how much? Crit chance/crit damage still good? How much resistance/health? I have 28mil to shop for. ANY pointers at all would be helpful. Don't feel like you have to answer everything, just a few broad ideas, or perhaps a link to a guide would help me. | ||

I'm currently kinda bored of roflstomping MP7-8 with my monk with shift+autoattack all the way through. How is WD gameplay in the current patch? I've got about 100m to spend on a brand new character. | ||

It depends what you mean by viable, lots of people play on like mp5-7 and think they are being efficient when they'd be better off doing whatever run they do in a quarter of the time on mp0-3. For running through on low MPs, you can definately go for an acid rain build which will be great for farming. If you have an absolute crapton of damage, locust swarm is really not a bad idea, you can cast it once in a place like the bridge of korsikk and then just run around watching it jump to all the mobs you see and kill them without even stopping to cast anything. For stuff like ubers and higher MPs, witch doctors start having problems because so much of their power is relative to things dying around them. Probably the best bet is to have a farming build and an ubers build, and the ubers build will probably have to be some kind of buffbot spec with a ranged nuke of your choice (unless you can get a friendly barb to keep you supplied with healthglobes) or the summon/sacrifice build. | ||
