If you do, do you have sufficient mana to spam them down with bears? If you wanna do more difficult MP levels, just get more and more dps. MP doesn't boost monster damage at all, only hp. So you should get your dps even higher. There's a neat trick to boost it: get even more pickup radius so you can get the GF/GI boost so that it covers the maximum distance of your bear spam. Is your templar doing work for you or is he dropping dead most of the time? You should rely on pets for tanking, not your follower. Not sure if your MF from follower drops when he's dead.. You could use the enchantress until 1.05 hits, or just use the scoundrel for +3% crit and the blind active. Since there's no MF bows, you can get a buriza to combine with split shot for mass slow/freeze on monsters. Also I don't know how desperate you are for MF; it might be a waste of gold to upgrade your rings/amulet to max MF. I kill Azmo but that's the only boss I see since I set the quest to the last one in Act 3. It wasn't a tough fight, I went into spirit vessel at the very end but killed him shortly after so it was ok. If I have rain dance active I can spam bears non stop. Nice tip about the pickup radius. I wasn't/am not sure what the optimal radius is however. My templar is mostly for extra mf. Even dead his mf is counted so with him (dead or alive) I am at max mf already so if anything, I will be looking to drop mf in favor of better stats as my paragon lvls increase. I just can't stay alive vs. champions since I am basically relying on spirit walk, vessel, 1 potion, and whatever health gloves drop to stay alive until my next spirit walk. Often times that next spirit walk is still a few seconds away after all that which means I get stomped immediately. If there are tons of trash mobs or easy horde enemies it's fine but 3 or 4 elites doesn't seem to be enough to get my spirit walk off cooldown. Trash mobs are super easy and are no problem. It feels like I need some addition healing from somewhere but I don't know if I should just get a lifesteal weapon or if I need to get X amount of loh or what. I wonder if +health globe bonus stacking would be quite interesting (and cheap) as well hmm.
when i had survivability issues i first bought +health globe bonus, as it was cheapest. It helps but never really solved my problems. now i got LoH on my weapon, one ring and amu to a sum of about 900. When I cast acid cloud it heals me full up if there are more than thee enemies. But even at one it really helps! And I almost never die to reflect dmg anymore. But it did hurt my dps :/
So I would say look for a weapon with at least 500 LoH, that doesn't let your dps down too much. But you would probably have to change Ghost Bomb to Rain of Toads or Acid Cloud for LoH to be effective.

Also I don't know how desperate you are for MF; it might be a waste of gold to upgrade your rings/amulet to max MF. Let me correct you, as I got corrected above. MP does increase monster damage. At MP5 it's almost doubled. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/7540457/Monster_Power_More_Guts_More_Glory-10_11_2012 Whattttt? Am I fucking blind or what? I saw that table so many times, but somehow I never noticed the part about monster damage. Ok sweet so I can't sacrifice much more EHP then. I read in a previous dev post (correct me if I'm wrong again) that monster damage at MP0 will be decreased by a pretty significant margin, so I'm guessing that unless you're running the nerfed passives (WD practically unaffected lol), MP3-4 should be the baseline monster damage as before.
I played a bit of PTR to test my pets with higher MP.
At MP5 I died a lot more, than I do now. MP3 felt pretty normal. I would guess MP2-3 is what 1.0.4 is monster damage wise. But that is just how it felt to me playing.
With the extreme rate at which the Monster HP rises I don't think I will be playing more than MP2, if I don't hit some good drop till 1.0.5

My 1.05 build for farming Warrior's Rest with MP4-6: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Heh-1586/hero/5086942
I'm running 291 base MF, plus whatever bonus MF (100-150) MP gives me, to farm with max efficiency. The idea is simple: 10 seconds reduced wall of zombies cooldown, using the pile on rune, giving me infinite tumbling zombies. Deals 2x more DPS than zombie bears when hitting small targets (I'm farming Warrior's Rest anyway). I haven't had the chance to test out my build on the PTR (some stupid error message), so my skill build isn't set in stone. The idea is as follows:
Wall of zombies: My damage dealer. SW/SV: Running glass cannon, need some invulnerability to kill things without dying. Horrify: Just to run a little bit faster, spare slot unless there's a better spell that I missed. Soul harvest: Might as well get more dps. BBV: More damage, more mana. Pretty good spell. Fetish army: To tank some hits. I'm toying around with the idea of fetish ambush (250% damage per fetish sounds good in theory), but if it doesn't work out then I'll use the legion of daggers rune. GF/GI: Get more dps/regen mana while killing stuff. I don't know how good GI will be for my purposes, I might replace it with PTV if I don't have mana issues (unlikely) or SA for more mana.

Im farming with Fetish ambush in A3 and sometimes 1HKO certain champs with it. You should try it!

If you need more mana i suggest you take Blood Ritual over SA. Also Garg seems to be better than Festish army. I am using the restless giant rune.

Gonna test different MPs in combination with BR/SA/PTV to see which is most efficient. I just need short-term tanking for 5-10 seconds, so there's no real advantage in using garg. Also if I'm standing in the middle of the elite pack, the fetishes can protect me from all sides.
If tanking is really good I might take out SV to use both BR/SA for more spam potential on higher MPs.

I am really clueless about what build to run 1.05 and what stats i should collect tbh. I was breeznig through act 3 prepatch but now @ mp5/6 it is really hard because mana is a big problem for WD.
What builds to run nowadays?

I'm about to try the uber bosses a MP5, any overall advice for the bosses? Also what builds are the most efficient?

What builds to run nowadays? i was having mana problems to on mp 5-6 so besides killing faster i started using sacrifice pride with tribal rights which seems to help a lot, here is my profile http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Purkinje-1501/

I'm stuck on what kind of upgrades to get to boost my dps. I'm running a3 mp1 but I feel like its not quite fast enough. I'm pretty poor so I'm wondering in what order I should upgrade my gear.
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Jello-1627/hero/6552054
I also have a TotD: 35-305dmg, 164int, 5%life, 10managen and a knife: 916dps, 272int, 8managen, socket
but the skorn seems to have better dps.
I'm wondering if the mana regen might end up being better though
|
Okay, so I switched builds last week... the first week I was able to find a pretty good Skorn, which I tried to sell, but couldn´t get as much as I wanted. I also realised that my old approach of "kill stuff with bears during spirit walk and don´t bother with loh/ll and too much resists" stopped working once I went MP5 or higher. So I took my 1400 loh Skorn, cried a lot at first because I had to actually walk towards the gold instead of getting it pickep up all over the screen by my "thing" and went for a rain of toads/acid rain :
http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Espe-2888/hero/6367580
Paperdoll dps went up because of the way higher dps of Skorn and the high crit damage, overall "when it matters" dps went down quite a bit because I sacked soul harvest and gruesome feast. But in the end my survivability is worlds ahead of what it used to be, and I can now do MP6 pretty decently (I die here and there, but thats mostly because of stupidity or an extremely unfortunate elite combo like waller/jailer/vortex/arcane).

Running that and doing just fine with 75k dps in mp4-7 Your initial burst triggers a massive influx of healthglobes so you usually get about 1.5-1.8 mana bars to dump + spirit walk restoring the rest. Works best with high pickup radius. I'm still using a 1h but for those running skorns there's hardly any reason to not be using bears + pets, the damage is probably ridiculous.
Mass confusion is totally up to you, could take hex for some control when mobs get too close or wall of zombies, I prefer the burst damage though.

Yea fetish ambush is really good. And if you pair it with grave injustice passive and have reasonable farming speed, you'll have it up every other champion pack. Although I liked to save it for the packs i typically have trouble with (demonic tremors/phase beasts).

Everyone is playing WDs completely wrong in 1.05. Monster power 1 offers way more legendaries and 60k exp / hr with leorics/ hellfire ring. Just use the old grave injustice builds and enjoy being a farming juggernaut.
I'm averaging 2-3 legendaries an hour like this.

Yea I've for farming and leveling I think mp0/mp1 with the grave injustice + gruesome feast is still the most efficient.
I still need to get an int hellfire ring for my WD T_T.

Yep. Moldran, a youtuber, did some testing on his almost perfect WW barb. Exp and loot is just way better if you do efficient Alkaizer runs. With the grave injustice, gruesome feast and spirit walk combo WDs are even better suited to low MP farming.
The run is Core --> Tower of the dammed 1 --> Crater 2 --> keep depths 2 --> fields of slaughter --> repeat
This is the build I use: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#VfUdYX!YTe!ccZZcZ
