I need advice on how to improve my CM wiz. I'm really low on hp (also allres?) after i upgraded my dps quite significantly. Where would be the easiest upgrade? I checked my current gear with +vit in the ah, but without sacrificing loads of dps an upgrade is ridiculously expensive.. Should I try to craft shoulders maybe? I sold my cc Zuni ring for the rare one to up my aps a little but I'm not sure if that was the smartest thing to do, since my aps was at 2.74 before and i can notice the missing allres quite a lot. But maybe it's just the low hp. Any help is appreciated :-) Got 50m budget. I can run mp5 with this (weird) build setup comfortably right now. Armory link Cheers | ||

This can be done without any item swaps, just with skills. Easy one is glass cannon --> evocation. Lower cooldowns will allow you to freeze better, so better survivability, not to mention the AR you get back. Then pinpoint -> force armor. With evocation you shouldn't need the extra 5%cc as much, so sustain should be fine, and you will really feel the difference in defense. | ||

You have almost no resists, so you would get a lot of defense by switching out some vit for resists, although if you're farming MP 2 or less you may not need it since you'll kill things so quickly. Since you have Zuni's boots, switching one of your rings to a nice Zuni's pox will give you some defense without dropping your damage too much due to the set int bonus. Good luck! I could upgrade my triumvirate still. As for my other gear, it's hard to find something that still has AR. It seems like I'd have to drop AR on items to get a significant damage boost which doesn't seem like a great idea playing HC. What do you think? | ||

I recently started to play d3 again and i am now stuck in mp4 with ww wiz my build: http://eu.battle.net/d3/de/profile/DrCox-1431/hero/23825349 I scratched some items somehow somewhere together and i can barely survive in mp4, but my wiz just doesnt do enough dmg for farming. My goal would look like this: DPS 110k ~150k Armor 4200ish Allres ca. 700 Life 45k LOH 600~800 CC 45~60 IAS 2+ I know that i am verrry far away from this stat but hey - you gotta start somewhere ^^ How much budget do i need to get these stuff? Also in which items should i focus which stats? (e.g.: aa and cc in rings etc) Also how do you make money beside farming? Is flipping still a decent option to make some gold? Thx a lot in advance =) | ||

When doing Blizzard I understand it is better to have a high base weapon dmg, than a lower base weapon dmg with faster attack speed. So weapon dmg > DPS. However, I cannot understand if it is then always better to use a two handed slow weapon or use a wand and a off hand source? | ||

Look at the ah and you will see that fire bonus gives a red background for the weapon and green for poison etc. Black is just increased max and min dmg and it is those values that the percentage bonus are based on. This color stuff is not visible on uniques and set items thou. | ||

Thx a lot in advance =) best option is probaby to get archon gear first, and farm as archon until you got money to do cm/ww. You can get a viable archon to run low mps very fast for just a few Ms. Should be easy to find guides for that. It is (much) more expensive to get a good cm/ww together, and unless you have all the pieces together it just doesn't work very well. Flipping still works afaik. | ||

I want to get back into Diablo, but my Wizard is only level 60+17 and I only have around 10kk left after selling all my shit on the RMAH. Does that get me far enough to equip an Archon or Blizzard-Wizard? | ||

I have started playing a wizard and am fully aware this probably is one tough road ahead of me, another thing to mention is we play HC only... Today I started my 4th wiz (reached lvl 41 so far, died on a mortar pack on NM in act 3 due to pure stupidity) and thought I should give it a kinda more thorough approach, since I'm not exactly satisfied with my build efficiency so far, using shock pulse (exploding bolts) and disintegrate (chaos nexus) as my primary and secondary skills and 1. diamond skin (crystal shell) 2. frost nova (shatter) 3. blizzard (grasping chill) 4. energy armor (absorption)... Now as I have read some softcore guides in addition to one very vague and general HC guide and didn't find them to be of much benefit at all I'd love to have some rough numbers/goals in terms of DPS and HP etc. for wizards playing HC, especially around 40+, although I wouldn't mind getting some info on things to look out for item/stat-wise, remarkable abilities from bosses to watch out for or to counter as good as possible as wiz. Any helpful insights and tips are well appreciated, since I feel I'm still a total noob to this game lots of the times (solo'd Diablo at lvl 31 with spectral blades, 5k life and lots of pots and a VERY, VERY empty life bar at least 10 times, holy fucking shit, that was so god damn intense, but I survived somehow with pure Terran micro lol ^^).
