Most of the time I have no problem(MP7) MP10 I do die a lot, but figured with my DPS there's no point in even trying that. The skill setup is just my noobish, read some random guide that picked those runes so I used them. (I haven't played since a month or two after release) Now, I know better ![]() I calculated that I can lose 7% attack speed and still be above the 2.73 breakpoint, but since all of my pieces with attack speed have 8+ it's rather hard to find a good route to gain that extra 2% back. Losing the nat pair means 7% crit chance gone which would put me pretty low, trying to find ways to make that up. What about zuni boots over the ice climbers to get the 130int bonus with the ring? I could try and get lacunis with an int roll, that will help a bit too, unless there is another option that grants the attack speed I need. Thanks~

If you want to increase your DPS you will need a weapon with CD or a socket and that probably also means replacing your amulet if you still want to keep your breakpoint. As kes already pointed out, Nats set is a short cut and will eventually have to be replaced. Ice Climbers and Rare Ring being the most obvious choices unless you are super rich and can go for superb Zuni Boots with Allres and and Zuni ring. As you can get rings with 6 CC it wont be such a huge loss as you suspect. Ice climbers do amazing things for EHP, especially if you buy some with armor/vit and socket a vit gem. If you dont want to change your build right away, the first piece I'd replace is the Tal Rashas Chest Armor. Get something with a lot more VIT, or 50+ Allres or at least some vit and Armor.

I just bought a new suit for 20m, did the EHP calcs, and went with around 60 more vit & 180 armor. Thanks all for the assistance

nat combo is just simply bad until you have ring with cc on it. sure, it gives you 7 cc as a set bonus, but with bad boots. find nice ias+cc (must) with anything else you can find/afford (cd, int, vita, AR, armor, loh) and at least switch your armor rune to shocking aspect, it makes wonders ![]()

I don't have a huge bank, but I do want to improve my utility as a wizard. Thanks for all your help guys!

![]() you dont really meet requirements for cm/ww build, even tho your armor and resist are nice. you would have to get much more crit chance and ias and switch to chantodo set edit: skorn is alternative as well

I don't have a huge bank, but I do want to improve my utility as a wizard. Thanks for all your help guys! At your current gear level / skill setup, I have three advices that could prove to be major improvements to your efficiency and probably drastically improve your farming and overall playing experience. 1) Your build is the CM / WW build, however, in my experiences that build either shines or fails miserably, and for it to shine it needs strictly planned gearing that you do not have yet. If you insist on making it work, this will require more investment to be effective than other builds. There is a topic about it on TeamLiquid, too: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=378958 . In my opinion you would be better off going for a more old school Blizzard / Arcane Orb / Hydra build or some similar variant with a wand. 2) Best defense is offense. MP0 can be easily crushed nowadays with how oversaturated the market is. At 50k DPS - that is not hard to achieve - you can drop half your defensive gear, especially with Power Armor and Crystal Shells, and die a lot less than how much I would guess you do now, and kill a lot faster. This allows you to farm better gear to improve further. 3) With this in mind, specialize the role of each gear slot. There are typically offensive and defensive gear slots. The former are gloves, bracers, the latter are shoulders, chest armor, belt, while helms and usually jewelry are a bit of a hybrid (although with nowadays trends these slots should also be mostly offensive). Getting defensive affixes on gloves and bracers at this point means that you either overpay for an item unnecessarily, or you sacrifice the unique affixes these can drop with. Gloves: get 3 of the following 4: main stat, CC,CD, IAS Bracers: 5+ CC, main stat Helm: 5+ CC, main stat, socket (for more xp, mf or HP, depends on your preferences and how you balance your gear) You should also consider getting a good legendary source and if you go for the Arcane Orb build, a wand, since that has a ranged attack even when you run out of mana. Wands are fast but low damage per attack items, so you benefit from +damage from orbs and jewelry more than with a slower weapon. Considering how low your vitality is, I would drop armor on your pants, and get +100 vit very cheaply, that should boost your EHP greatly. Then, you can balance out your jewelry with as much offensive power as possible, getting high average damage + CC CD IAS main stat (at least 2 of these 4 stats) will boost your dps considerably. From here on you should be able to farm at least twice as fast and get things going. I would also take the Scoundrel follower for the 3% CC, and get him a cold damage, IAS rare bow plus IAS + MF jewelry for effective assistance. His Multishots will slow pretty much the whole screen at all times. helping you benefit from Cold Blooded even more. Hope this helps.

If you're having problems living, more defenses are needed so AR/Armor would be your best bet. Also, Archon isn't the best spec to be playing for higher monster powers but thats up to you.

Looking to get more int, armor and crit damage but not really sure what to go for without losing defensive stats, APoC, etc. I think I can probably lose a bit of LoH. Anyone have any suggestions? http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Audle-1161/hero/12628931 edit: should note I've got about 80 mil to spend

![]() another, maybe more bigger dps bump would be socketed weapon (calculate your ias for sufficient breakpoint). on the other hand, you might have to go for innas pants or lacunis, i dont like either of them third option is to get APoC offhand (maybe settle with little lower average dmg) and look for godly rare wizard helm (or anything that suits you) ... fourth option: new ammy with ias+cc+much more LoH+whatever you can get there AND look for rare pants 170+int, 220+vita (can go up to 300!), armor, all res, sockets (wet dream, I know), this would allow you either go easier on defensive stats on another slots or free MP up (while beeing OK with killing little bit slower). but hey, this build still does crapload of dmg, survivability is the thing we should focus on, right?

For MP 8 and above I switch out the weapon for one with life on hit, but for anything else just the 400 from storm crow works fine.
